The Sleep Time and Rise "n" Shine Thread for 9/17-18/08- Clueless

At their first town hall rally together in Grand Rapids, Michigan, John McCain and Sarah Palin were given softball questions from almost most in the front row. And they still couldn't answer them well.
Asked for "specific skills" she could cite to rebut critics who question her grasp of international affairs, she replied, "I am prepared."

"I have that confidence. I have that readiness," Palin said. "And if you want specifics with specific policies or countries, you can go ahead and ask me. You can play 'stump the candidate' if you want to. But we are ready to serve."

Prepared, confident, and readiness: that is all she could come up? And "stump the candidate?" What the governor of Alaska fails to realize is this: You are running for the second most powerful position in the world, and you get offended if someone asks you an important question on a thing you should know?

McCain was no better either. In regards to his defense of Palin's blank page of international knowledge, McCain then took the question another way (and he still didn't answer it well).
GOP presidential nominee John McCain stepped in, pointing out that as governor of a state that is oil and gas plentiful, Palin was familiar with energy. She knows it to be "one of our great national security challenges," he said.

He also cited her nearly two years as commander of Alaska's National Guard. "I believe she is absolutely, totally qualified to address every challenge as the next vice president of the United States," McCain said.

Energy, our greatest national security challenge? Over protection of our military, our erroneous policies that have alienated some (if I feel 'most' maybe is an "exaggeration" to some, but not me) in the world in the last eight years, and our relation with our neighbors? Energy.

And the Alaska National Guard? McCain is not only trying to put lipstick on a pig. He is trying to give it makeup and eyeliner as well.

Have a good morning (or continue having a good sleep).
