Music Thread #2 for 10/20/08- Louis Vutton and Gucci Stop T.I In His Tracks; Don Cornelius Arrested

Just two quick posts for the night in the music world.

When will rappers learn that Gucci and Louis Vutton really don't give a damn about them. Here's the latest example:
Although many news outlets reported T.I.'s next single be "Swing Ya Rag," the clip never made it on major television networks. That left fans asking about the video. Recently, Tip spoke openly about the video controversy and more on what fans can still expect from Paper Trail.

It seems Louis Vuitton and Gucci were not happy to have their product featured in the video.

"We did it, and it came out hot," T.I. told MTV. "Louis [Vuitton] and Gucci started trippin' about it. They were saying we were infringing, in one way or another. They weren't happy about it. They didn't want it to come out. But it's hot, though."

As someone said over at DX, it seems like only Jay-Z, with the whole Crystal controversy, will take a stand and boycott a major company.

And get this story. Long time Soul Train host Don Cornelius got the hand cuffs recently:
Veteran TV personality Don Cornelius of Soul Train was arrested Friday for domestic violence charges. According to TMZ.com, the arrest took place on the famed Mulholland Drive.

After being apprehended, the 72 year-old was released in the early hours yesterday morning, after $50,000 bail was posted. The report did not state whether the victim was Cornelius' wife Victoria, but police reports indicate the victim did not require hospitalization.

Shame shame indeed.

Peace!
