Sports Thread #1 for 10/19/08- TWD's NFL Week 7 "3-Guarantees", "Clash of Clashes" and Outright Winners.

(Photo from google.com) Expect Steve Smith to do what he does in this photo to the Saints' secondary again today

First, the "3-Guarantees." We were perfect last week, and we are hopefully perfect this week again in our guarantees.

Tennessee-Kansas City
jaeddy28 (6:47:39 PM): What are the 3 games this week
BlazingTerror141 (6:48:23 PM): aight, the three games this week

BlazingTerror141 (6:49:31 PM): Baltimore-Miami
BlazingTerror141 (6:49:52 PM): Indy-Green Bay
BlazingTerror141 (6:50:30 PM): Tennessee-Kansas City or New Orleans-Carolina
BlazingTerror141 (6:53:16 PM): ten-KC
BlazingTerror141 (6:53:24 PM): 8.5 is too much for the Titans
BlazingTerror141 (6:53:32 PM): for Kerry Collins, on the road
jaeddy28 (6:53:34 PM): I was thinking the same thing
BlazingTerror141 (6:53:39 PM): where the Titans have a bullseye
jaeddy28 (6:53:44 PM): But their defense is really good
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:00 PM): now the Chiefs do have
jaeddy28 (6:54:02 PM): But it is in KC too
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:03 PM): turmoil
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:07 PM): with Gonzalez
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:11 PM): wanting to get traded
jaeddy28 (6:54:18 PM): I wouldn't call it turmoil it is more like truth
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:23 PM): true
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:32 PM): But this is just too many points to give the Titans
jaeddy28 (6:54:40 PM): Tony Gonzalez does not need to be on a rebuilding team
jaeddy28 (6:54:53 PM): I had that feeling too
BlazingTerror141 (6:54:56 PM): but that rebuilding team will need him to keep it close this week
jaeddy28 (6:55:03 PM): 8.5 is ridiculous
jaeddy28 (6:55:23 PM): And we saw what happened when Vegas gave the big line to last weeks teams
BlazingTerror141 (6:55:25 PM): I don't think Lendall White, Justin Gage, or Justin McCarens will be all fantasy world this week, in Arrowhead
jaeddy28 (6:55:35 PM): For example the Redskins
BlazingTerror141 (6:55:55 PM): 9 and half, too much, Chiefs for sure (and there was another game with a high line)

Chiefs to cover, the Nine is too big

Ravens-Dolphins
BlazingTerror141 (6:57:59 PM): Miami-Baltimore, WildCAT!
jaeddy28 (6:58:20 PM): Yeah, I can't believe they are giving Baltimore 3
jaeddy28 (6:58:40 PM): I guess they didn't want to have too much evens
BlazingTerror141 (6:58:51 PM): 2.5 they say, and Miami is home
jaeddy28 (6:59:03 PM): ESPN has 3
BlazingTerror141 (7:04:52 PM): I think Baltimore goes down there and stops the Wildcat

jaeddy28 (7:05:20 PM): They might outright win
BlazingTerror141 (7:05:30 PM): Ravens and the cover

Finally, the Panthers-Saints
BlazingTerror141 (7:14:13 PM): so, do we agree on Carolina-New Orleans
BlazingTerror141 (7:14:25 PM): i think Drew Brees gets contained
BlazingTerror141 (7:14:40 PM): the Panthers and the points for me
jaeddy28 (7:14:46 PM): That is a tough one

BlazingTerror141 (7:15:01 PM): it is, but I think being at home is the difference
BlazingTerror141 (7:15:46 PM): and plus, New Orleans, to me, is too inconsistent, and they aren't a good road team in my mind
jaeddy28 (7:16:14 PM): Yeah, someone still needs to explain how they lost to Minnesota
BlazingTerror141 (7:21:29 PM): and someone will need to explain how they will lose to Steve Smith and company
BlazingTerror141 (7:21:44 PM): Panthers and the points for me, are you comin' along, and singing the same song!
jaeddy28 (7:25:47 PM): I am
jaeddy28 (7:26:02 PM): The Panthers have been hot for the past couple of weeks

BlazingTerror141 (7:26:27 PM): and this is one of the few times I really fellow a teams momentum in
BlazingTerror141 (7:26:32 PM): that, and San Diego this week
BlazingTerror141 (7:26:52 PM): so, the Panthers, the Chiefs, and the Ravens
BlazingTerror141 (7:27:05 PM): the 3-Guarantees from Mr.Jones and Mr.Eddy
jaeddy28 (7:27:13 PM): Yup

Outright Winners (Holding off the Packers-Colts Game)
Chargers over Bills
Vikings over Bears
Steerlers over the hapless Bengals
Giants over 49ers
Brad Johnson led Cowboys over Rams
Texans over Lions (though not by that big of s spread, that is ridiculous)
Jets over Raiders
Redskins over Browns
Bucs over Seahawks (while just a few blocks away, Rays over Sox in Game 7, preview to come later)

Monday Night
Broncos over Patriots in Foxboro.
