Music Wakeup Call For 4/22/10: Ciara Feat Ludacris- Ride (2010)

Now based on the first listen to this song, I don't really know if she is still able to appeal anymore. That last album of her's, Fantasy Ride, was an absolute nightmare in terms of quality and especially in sales.

Ciara's numbers were so abysmal on that last release last year that it barely sold 200K in the US. And this makes "Basic Instinct" album a massive make or break album for this artist, who I think just won't be able to appeal anymore.

Nevertheless, she tries real hard in this video and thensome, and Ludacris is hoping to help her here once again. I doubt if it will work, but it is the fun Wakeup Call for the day, "Ride" from Ciara feat Luda.

The Cinema For 8/20/10: Only The Nanny Serves The Good Stuff This Week

It's Friday, that means it's "The Cinema" time: Without a doubt, the best movie this week is the enjoyable Emma Thompson improving on the first version of Nanny McPhee with "Nanny McPhee Returns!" It is another delight for the kids and adults from a class actress in a fun role. Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel hopes there is another return for this nanny : But this is a most welcome return, a sequel that rises from the “world of poo” of its setting and tickles and warms the heart. Let’s hope Nanny McPhee is “deployed” again, and soon. Another movie out this week is Piranha 3-D, which has been made as a scary fun spoof to Jaws. The one thing people may agree on with this one is, at least this shows the power of 3-D.
