The Read International For 5/31/10: State Department Declines To Criticize Israel, While Everyone Else Does

So despite almost everyone else criticizing Israel, the State Department of this nation declines to do just as so .
The State Department says its supports "expanding the flow of goods to the people of Gaza." But it adds that it must be done "in a spirit of cooperation, not confrontation."

Officials are reacting to today's Israeli commando raid on a flotilla of ships carrying aid and hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists to the blockaded Gaza Strip. Nine passengers were killed, provoking international outrage and a diplomatic crisis.

President Barack Obama is voicing "deep regret" over the incident. The White House says he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed by phone to hold White House talks orignally set for tomorrow "at the first opportunity."

Meanwhile, here is video from Al Jazeera contradicting the one released today from the IDF .

I really do believe that if this was Iran attacking some activists from Israel, the response would be all the world different, of course.
