Music Thread #1 For 6/22/10: The News Runthrough

Look who did a video together........awwwwwwww at the mentor and menteeness :

Eminem gave fans a nice surprise in Manhattan early this morning, as his album drops today:
"Call me Tiger, my wood's been everywhere," rapped D.N.A., a fervent Queens MC, at the opening night of Eminem's battle series EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile last night at New York's Bowery Ballroom. The event was billed as a showcase for up-and-coming talent, but the poorly kept secret was that Slim Shady himself was in the house for a surprise set the same day his 17-track Recovery — the follow-up to 2009's Relapse, his first album after five years of depression, drug addiction and being slumped at rock bottom — hit stores.

This is too funny indeed, as Fabolous rung the NASDAQ bell yesterday :
Fabolous, along with members of the charity organization After-School All-Stars, visited the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City's Time Square today (June 21) to ring the NASDAQ morning bell. Fab who's the celebrity spokesman for the non-profit was joined by After-School All-Stars' President & CEO Ben Paul and Chairman Paul Wachter.

To let his fans know about the special occasion, Fab talked about the experience via his Twitter account. "Up early, going to ring the bell at Nasdaq this morning. Yeah, I said Nasdaq..#Boss." Fab also tweeted about the new suit he wore for the event and how dapper he looked. "If u wanna c how good I look in this @domenicoyacca suit turn on CNBC at 9:30am."

Jay-Z is being sued for a quarter of a million dollars by a private jet company .
