This is how robotic and inhumane she really is.

Last night, when Joe Biden was having his emotional moment in answering a question from Gwen Ifill about managing their families in difficult situations, talking about how he had to raise a family after his first wife died in that tragic car accident, Palin didn't even bother to acknowledge that tender moment. Instead, she went on and spewed another senseless, anti-poignant talking point of aspersion:

She pulled the string, and out came an answer about McCain being a maverick. Classless, and completely out of place in what was a somber movement. She could've shown some empathy, maybe even talked about the difficulties of raising her own family. Instead, she resorted to talking points.

Classless.

And JBTakenote's emotion "diary post" at the Kos hits the soul.

But her response - well, her response was to not even acknowledge that this very authentic, very real man - a candidate with no veneer - had suffered through this and that it still hurt. No, "I'm so sorry for your loss" or any compassion of any kind. Rather, she talked about how she and McCain were mavericks.

It was so blatant and stupid. And I wouldn't have blamed Joe Biden if he had walked across the stage and slapped her. And she surely deserved it.

More importantly, it was at that moment - the very moment when it was time to be a "compassionate conservative," she acted just like the valley girl teenager she speaks like. And it is that immature stupidity is how she lost the debate.

Deep stuff from her, and her story is also part of "The Read" today. It is truly a must read.

This just shows how nasty, unprepared, and dearth of the total common sense this Governor of Alaska has. In a moment where it would have been deep (and probably helped her) with voetsr out there to show that she cared (or just acknowledge the powerful moment that just preceded), she instead went on and ushered "Me and John McCain are mavericks."

Where is your soul Governor Palin? Where is you soul?

It is clear from the results. This was more favorable to Obama and Biden than it was a total ender for McSad and Pain. But make no mistake about it, with the reaction out of the debate and everyone analyzing what she said was totally inaccurate of even McCain's message, it could be very deleterious, this unoriginial, souless performance, from her.
