Your product: Formula 1's current chaos admits its powerhouse teams threatening to leave the series and form a rival one.
The threat by members of the F1 Teams Association (Fota) intensifies their row with world motorsport boss Max Mosley over his budget cap proposals.
"The teams have declined to alter their original conditional entries to the 2010 F1 Championship," said the teams.
Mosley is placing a cap at 40 million Euros. None of the main competitors want that. And none of the fans want this at all.
Formula one is still big intentionally despite fading away in America. But maybe they could use an example from the States with how fracturing a popular auto racing series can ruin the sport for a long while: the Indycar series.
