The Flashback Fridays For 3/31/17: Missy Elliott - The Rain (1997)

It's the 20 year anniversary of this glorious music video and song. And it was the start of arguably the best female MC and one of the most creative artists in all of music ever.

It's the brilliant Missy Elliott with her first single of her career, the Hype Williams produced classic with appearance from her beat making mentor Timbaland and soon close friends Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George of SWV, Yo Yo, Lil' Kim, Total, 702, Da Brat, Lil' Cease and Puff Daddy. This lead to Missy securing the VMA for Best Rap Video (and should have been best overall video at that show.

It's "The Rain" from 1997, your fitting flashback choice on this rainy day in the Northeast part of the United States.

The Flashback Fridays For 3/24/17: Busta Rhymes, P.Diddy and Pharrell - Pass The Courvoisier Part II (2002)

As people still appreciate his past Grammy's performance with the Agent Orange hammering of President Dump, here is the up tempo classic of many that Sir Trevor George Smith produced 15 years ago.

With Diddy and Pharrell doing well, and Mo'Nique having a superb guest appearance, it's the 2002 fun hit, "Pass The Courvoiser (Part 2)."
