11/9/08-TWD's Agenda For The Day: The Desperate Labeling Of America As Still Being Center-Right

Image
(Original Photo from Nydailynews.com)Tom Brokaw is one of the many dishonest fools still calling this nation center-right leaning. It is pretty sad, the likes of Tom Brokaw (I would love to say Tom Broflaw, but I want to be formal here) and so many others in the media, trying to label this nation as center-right. It is even more of a deplorable sight where right-wingers such as Karl Rove, accusing Barack Obama of having "socialists" policies and being "the most liberal Senator in Congress", go ahead and proclaim that the reason why Obama won the election now (after saying the financial crisis helped him after saying McCain had Bush under his neck helped him) is because he ran a "center-right" campaign. The trepidation over the liberal agenda getting pushed in this country is amazing. And the ridiculous myth that this country is what most in the media are still saying it is has been slammed big time this week (as it has been rebuked in the past). In today...

10/18/08- TWD's Agenda For the Day: They Are Getting More Ugly and More Delusional By the Minute

Later, we will give you the craziness already uttered by the McCain campaign, and the continued disturbing shill-ery of Tom Brokaw and "Mourning UGGGGGGGGG" Joe Scarborough later. Just a find example of showing conservative Republican discontent is this fellow, who I will keep anonymous for those who don't have Facebook or are friends with me on there, who just can't let go any talking point that he hears from Fox, the SOP's Committee, or the worst campaign ticket in the history of all campaign tickets. It is too hilarious, especially where he tried to defend, defend , Minnesota divisive nutty nut Michele Bachmann's un-American assumptions on MSNBC's Hardball on Friday. You are going to laugh at this : You talking about Ms. Bachman or are you really talking about John Murtha, y our fellow democrat who "LABELED" his own constituents as racist. Again, all Bachman did was point out that Obama has made bad choices with some of the people that he has...

10/8/08- TWD's Agenda for the Day, Part 1: The Second Debate in Its Entirety

Thanks to C-SPAN as always for their brilliance. Updated: As you will see in this debate (or have already seen), McCain continues his reckless assault on earmarks, and in particular, slamming Obama for a $3 million earmark or a "projector." Once again, it was another terrible distortion given by McCain, giving off the tone that Obama gave off this money for a stupid cause. Thanks to the always diligent and terrific Deoliver47 at the Kos , here is the background on that "projector", and how important it is from the NY Times comments section: I am an Associate Professor of Astronomy at the University of Chicago (the University that today has added yet another Nobel Prize winner in the sciences for the US). I would like to comment on Sen. McCain's statement during the today's debate that Sen. Obama has earmarked "$3 million for an overhead projector at a planetarium in Chicago, Ill. My friends, do we need to spend that kind of money?" The way Sen....

10/7/08- TWD's Agenda For the Day- The Decline of a Reputable Journalist

Image
Photo from Wikipedia Never ever would I have thought to utter the following sentences, but critical times such as these prompt me to even do so in steadfast fashion: Tom Brokaw is embarrassing himself, and it is sad to see. Whenever you heard the name Brokaw, you assume a standard of journalist that could only be matched by the "elites" of the field, for he was considered the "elite." Along with the late Peter Jennings and the still humble and competent Dan Rather (who came to BU by the way and showed how classy he was a fortnight ago), whenever you turned on news at 6:30, Tom Brokaw rounded out a trifecta that made the evening news of the broadcast networks seem both infallible and fair to the truth (and only the truth.) In short, you could always trust Brokaw to truly put the people first. Until now. Because over this election period, from the primaries at the beginning of the year to now, Brokaw has sadly indeed sullied his reputation. We will more on this later....
