The Reel Feel Thread #1 For 11/19/12: Journalism Is First Facts, Then A Conversation

Image
Here is a segment when a real journalist and truth teller gets simply tried of having the generic "conversation" of "both sides have their story" and takes journalism to where it should always be: Pure truth-telling. Ali Abunimah was sick and tired of Zionist propaganda amalgamated with the real full tales of Gaza pain, and told it like it was. This is a prime example of why news conversations can only be meaningful with people that would acknowledge simple facts first instead of trying to "balance" the discussion. I really couldn't feel bad for Ahmed here because this is the type of news segment that regularly happens on cable news and needs to not occur on an online news channel that wants to keep it fully real all the way. Unless they just want "a conversation." Anybody can have "a conversation." All news organizations instead should have conversations that start with acknowledging key facts before it begins. A...

The Reel Feel For 11/17/12: Our Failed US Media

Image
And our one sided storytelling from cable news........ And how it is fairly covered: And let's use a snark photo to highlight the discrepancy:  Another another one: And yet, we always report from our centrists with the Zionists, even reckless fools like Netanyahu, getting all the headlines and treatment first and foremost. It really is embarrassing.

The Read International For 7/6/10: Could Israel Send One Of Their Soldiers To Jail For A Long Time

Image
Photo from AFP On the day where the nutcase Netanyahu comes to DC and meets with President Obama, could Israel be sending one of their soldiers to jail for 30 years for killing innocent Palestinians ? An Israeli soldier who fought in the country's war on Gaza last year is to be prosecuted for the manslaughter of two Palestinian women, the military has said. The move, which is the first prosecution of an Israeli soldier over the deaths of civilians during the 22-day war, was one of several disciplinary steps announced by the army following an internal investigation. If this does happen, than that soldier really did mess up for those under the Netanyahu Administration, of all Administrations who loathe Palestinians, to send him behind bars for 30 years. But then again, it wouldn't surprise me if he gets off the hook.

Yesterday's Leftovers Bumped To 3/17/10: Even The Best Ones Can Be Painfully Wrong

Everybody in the rational online community doesn't need to be reminded of how awesome Anthony Weiner is. And the fact that he represents Brooklyn (though not my district, as Ed Towns represents it) is further admiration for the Congressman. Until further notice, he will remain one of the few public officials that I can confidently call "a public official" instead of a politician. In short, more people like Anthony Weiner would certainly be a benefit to our government, no question about that. But there comes a time when that usually terrific Congressional figure you respect and appreciate a lot is so wrong on an issue that you can't let favoritism block you from criticizing him or her. And that is the moment I'm presented with here in regards to Congressmen Weiner. He said this earlier today, with full conviction : New York Rep. Anthony Weiner is adding his voice to the criticism of the White House's response to an ill-timed Israeli construction decisio...
