The 1st Thread For 10/14/15: How's CNN's Bogus 'Fact Check' Once Again Displayed How Fradulent it Always is

Image
It's always going to be an embarrassment when CNN hosts any debate in this era when they have largely been exposed, day after day, year after year, of being centrist media clowns laughably desperate to appear being the network that actual holds anyone accountable. And after Anderson Cooper's latest, constant interruption of a Democratic debate to make it seem like he's a real journalist when he is just a fraud, the network went and got its usual fact check hack Tom Foreman to try and pull a fast one on Bernie Sanders. Only, it failed miserably. It was centered on of course the gun debate, the one topic where centrist media fools like CNN will think that they can show Sanders as having the usual duplicitous politician tactic of possibly "flip-flop" on their weakest topic just like everyone else. Now, we can discuss whether his D- rating for NRA or his preference to not want gun manufactures to be sued under UNKNOWING circumstances (I capitalized that beca...

The 1st Thread For 6/22/15: Denial of White Terrorism And How Charleston Isn't an Attack on Christians

Image
Denial of reality can be an alarming, misguided practice that a person can willingly partake on oneself. It is a conspicuous moment revealing how individuals are fully insecure with accepting the truths that they don’t want to embrace, tormenting themselves into a place of a dangerously false universe. Denial is a toxic behavior, and it has long been prevalent in America’s constant struggle with its racist characteristics, long before it became a union and in the current aftermath of its formation two centuries after. The tragic assassination of nine black people at the hands of a 21-year-old white terrorist has sparked another episode of racist denial, not only from conservative Caucasian Americans but even some notable white figures outside the right-wing spectrum. Shifting the focus off racism as the main reason for Dylann Roof’s devilish acts, some quickly attributed the shooting deaths to being simply an attack on Christianity.  Leading in that chorus of denial unsur...

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 5/19/15: Natalie La Rose ft Jeremih - Somebody (2015)

Image
With the Whitney Houston "Dance with Somebody" sample down well by producer team of The Futuristics, their effort has allowed Flo Rida article Natalie La Rose are catchy hit with Jeremih. She is the latest performer to not have a good singing voice, but all that matters is that she has a hit for the last 4 months. And for Jeremih, with his label issues, another hit is good enough for him. It's "Somebody," today's Music Wakeup Call. More to come at The Whole Delivery, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread For 4/9/14: Jonathan Fleming Celebrates After Wrongly Being in Prison For 25 Years

Image
The first words from Jonathan Fleming after wrongly being in jail for 25 years, becoming the latest wrongly convicted and imprisoned black man in America. "It's been a long time coming," Fleming said. "I waited for this day to come, 24 and a half years for this nightmare to be over and this day is finally here. I've dreamt about this many nights, and I'm finally a free man." And yet, some weird lady asked the question, "Did you get bitter at any point during these 24 years?" Ridiculous. On a more poignant note, the emotion his mother, Patricia Fleming, displayed for his son being free is obviously a must see . "Free man, free man, free man, it's over, it's over now, it's all over." And the words of Fleming's significant speak to how tremendous her heart is. And the real factual thing that will continue to persist is that there are thousands of more Jonathan Flemings, including those who are on death...

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 4/8/14: Mack WIlds - Own It (2013)

Image
From his days as a firm star of The Wire in the 4th and 5th seasons as Michael Lee, to now an R&B riser, Mack Wilds really is making that transition required for future success. In fact, he has already done that. "Own It" was the first main single from him last year for his under the radar solid effort "New York: A Love Story," and has propelled him into one to watch in the music game too. So here it is, "Own It", your Music Wakeup Call for today. More to come from The Whole Delivery in a bit, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 4/7/14: Kid Ink ft Chris Brown - Show Me (2013)

Image
This track really is rising in these "urban" streets, where this DJ Mustard is becoming a top producer in the game (at 23) with the song for this. Kid Ink doesn't mess it up and provides the standout line of the song in the second verse. "My bad if my EX wants to fight you." You even forget sometimes that Chris Brown is on this track whit how smooth the beat is from Mustard, and it's really deserved its shine. Thankfully the video keeps it simple and works with the song. Your Music Wakeup Call for this day, it's Kid Ink ft Chris Brown for the DJ Mustard produced "Show Me." More to come at The Whole Delivery later, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/The Sports Thread #1 For 4/4/14: Boozo Esiason

Image
As most know by now, Boomer Esiason makes himself Boomer Esiason with his even more idiotic loudmouth sidekick (Craig Carton) embarrassing the male gender again by not challenging the ridiculous "C-section" comment. Now look, it's Esiason's chauvinist mentality if he wanted it to be his way for his significant other when he played for the Bengals and the Jets. But anytime period, even in the "old school alpha male" days of yesteryear, still meant this was a nutty thing to do to your spouse or a fellow male. But for Esiason, this is unsurprising from his conservative, alpha male, tough guy persona. He has been so tough that he definitely hasn't even thought about tweeting today. And the same with that clown next to him in Carton. For those who never even heard of Esiason before yesterday, just trust me on the fact that Carton is even worse. Hopefully everyone at WFAN and CBS Sports, especially female, expressed to them their thoughts on his ne...

The 1st Thread For 3/17/14: Why I Don't Live in Los Angeles

Image
Thankfully they can laugh about it after their initial reactions. So scary: Chris Schauble and Megan Henderson are thankfully having fun with it on both Twitter and Instagram , but as SoCal native Megan said, it is always scary. More to come today at TWD.

The Saturday 1st Thread For 3/15/14: St.Patrick's Day Weekend

Bring in De La Soul..... And Ludacris: More to come at TWD, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/The Flashback Fridays #1 For 3//7/14: California Dreams- California Dreamin' (1992)

Image
Although their reunion was so classic on Jimmy Fallon two years ago , it is always so great to see the original version from the show's pilot (first) episode. One of the best TV show theme songs ever, and maybe the best in my mind. NBC truly had some golden TV show songs in that early to late 90's period. In fact, I am rewatching this show to see whether I thought it was almost as good as the original "Save By The Bell" (not the rebranded junior high years that was sucky, but the first season at high school) as the best 'TNBC-Peter Engel' show. So since I am in California right now, here is the first Flashback Friday show, the classic song from the "California Dreams" song, it's "California Dreamin." More to come at The Whole Delivery on Friday, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call Best of 2013 For 12/30/13: Janelle Monae ft Erykah Badu - Q.U.E.E.N

Image
Another Monae single totally deserving of the Top 10.  More to come at TWD.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call Best of 2013 For 12/18/13: Lupe Fiasco ft Ed Sheeran- Old School (2013)

Image
The video is even more special than the special song that it already was. The directing legends Coodie and Chike add another Chicago masterpiece of music and music video making. It is that phenomenal and inspirational, no matter if you are black or non-black, from Chicago or not. Also, a major special video mention, this time a poem, from the standout sir that is Musa Okwonga and his sensational poem celebrating 150 years of football for the FA: This is The Whole Delivery, more to come, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread For 12/12/13: The Schizophrenic Sign Language Interpreter?

Image
This story just gets more and more incongruous and unbelievably shocking . I hope for Thamsanqa Jantjle's case that he is not lying about this, and I don't think he would go on TV and have it be broadcasted to the rest of the world that he has a serious condition, only to be idiotically mendacious. The story will continue to unfold and thank the Holy Trinity that no one was harmed in this case of schizophrenia, if true. And I hope that if Jantjle is a schizophrenic that he does not get a disturbing level of harassment and threats.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call #1 For 12/11/13: Aloe Blacc - The Man (2013)

Image
It's crazy how he sounds like Anthony Hamilton on the chorus, just crazy. And it is a real shame that the only visual image for this track is of course Kevin Garnett's "Beats By Dre" commercial at the moment . (Speaking of that commercial, it's Youtube version is way more realer and greater than I thought it was going to be, especially the fans part. Really surprisingly great). More to come at The Whole Delivery today, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread For 12/10/13: Mandela Memorial (The Highlights)

Image
And the full speech: The picture that will have conservatives go nutty all over the place today:  More to come, stay tuned.   First Version  Towards the end, but still worth the watch. In the rain in South Africa, live .

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 12/9/13: Paige Thomas- Never Gonna Give You Up (2012)

Image
A favorite of this site since she brilliantly performed it on last season's X-Factor, here is Paige Thomas's excellent rendition of "Never Gonna Give You Up." Stay well Paige. More to come at The Whole Delivery today.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 12/5/13: Nelly Furtado - The Spirit Indestructible (2012)

Image
Still one of 2012's best songs and videos. It's a shame how a global, sensational artist like her had an album so poorly promoted by Interscope last year. More to come at The Whole Delivery later today, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 12/4/13: Akon feat Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne - So Paid (2008)

Image
Your Wakeup Call for today, it's the five year classic that featured one of Lil Wayne's best guest verses ever, and the same with Young Jeeezy food. That's saying a lot about the latter, for sure: More to come at The Whole Delivery. Stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 11/26/13: Lloyd ft Lil Wayne- You (2007/2008)

Image
And ever since then and "Get It Shawty", Lloyd has never been the same. But still, a classic to this day and his best song:  More from TWD today, stay tuned.

The 1st Thread/Music Wakeup Call For 11/25/13: The Official Unofficial JC Penny Parade Requsts

Image
Please click up above for more to see, again, what this is all about. But if you are a regular reader of this small site, you will understand already. Anyway, your Music Wakeup Call is T-Pain's best song, not "I'm Sprung", but the heartfelt "Ridge Road" from his debut album that was so popular, "Rappa Ternt Singa."
