CNN's primetime host thought he was hitting all the rights notes (because that's what they always think at that network, no matter how cookie cutter and disturbing recalcitrant they have become over the years to real political reporting) in this screed last night. From 50 seconds on, it was a total trainwreck, made a disaster by Cooper and his network's truest downfall: "False equivalency disease." We all know and exasperate when we see that full sad condition time and time again, pushed by every strategist and politician on the nutty party's side, from the asylum unit throughout Capital Hill to "Take any order" slime snakes like Ron Christe always on the "The Ed Show" whenever, wherever. That disease however is worse on Time Warner's beloved news channel, exhibited fully by their 10 PM darling last evening. As most know the story by now, Phil Griffin banned Kos today from MSNBC because Joe Scarborough runs his world . Greg Sargent brings up a great point of how hypocritical and utterly gutless Griffin's decision was. Griffin, trying his best Jeff Zucker/Dick Ebersol impersonation, put out the anathema on Kos as soon as possible once Scarborough whined to him. But Griffin and his no stringent attitude was nowhere to be found when Liz Cheney happily smeared two of his night time hosts Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz when she had her wonderful ad calling them virtually "cowards" towards her. And Sargent makes sure that everyone remembers that : It's funny. I don't recall the chief of MSNBC publicly banning Liz Cheney from appearing on the network when she cut an entire Web video "publicly antagonizing" Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews for allegedly being too frightened to debate her about terrorism: It really is disheartening, as a fledging journalis...

Today, despite being vindicated time and time again over the last few months, ACORN continues to spiral towards bankruptcy. The New York Times spilled the details of how a conference call led by the organization's CEO Bertha Lewis will talk about filing for Chapter 7 (unless it has already happened already). And barring a miraculous influx of ostentation coming in, the nutty Right will have officially scored a win at the expense of the poor of the nation (if they haven't already with how publicly ridiculed the organization has received). But the most revealing thing about that report today was not the fact of ACORN's impending bankruptcy. Rather, it was the fact that it came from the New York Times. I guess "The Eye" is not opened to upholding any integrity and honesty. We all know CBS has already tarnished itself with their utter hypocrisy in regards to what they feel is a proper ad for the Super Bowl. Their choice to break their previous non-advocacy rules (and alter them later) for Tebow and Focus on the Family but choose to be concerned about TEH Gays and their banning on their ad has received growing negative attention as the NFL's ultimate contest approaches. And the castigation against their dishonest ways may continue to rise with how they have actually helped Focus on the Family in shaping their ad. Yep, the Pulitzer Board arrives roughly six years late to that media revolution and ends up tapping the old school, CW-worshiping Politico as its agent of change. So if you are obsessed to having Matt Fudge give you a link on his craptacular page that has lost its power to spread news and misinformation as time progressed, and if you are a Cheney stenographer, then you are deemed worthy if being on the Pulitzer Board. Fledgling journalism writers with hopes of winning a Pulitzer really shouldn't give a damn anymore about it after seeing this news today.

From the audio yesterday to now the video. On a serious note here, journalism is rolling in its grave again as this spreads. How in the world did a supposedly off the record interview be not only audio recorded, but now shot at the same time? Now of course, pre recording is a norm sometimes when the camera is rolling before an interview. You don't need to have taken a few broadcast journalism classes to know that. Still, the fact that Politico got this from CNBC speaks volumes of how we are continuing on a full scale deterioration of journalism ethics in this country.
