It was a forgettable day for Terrell Owens and the Bills, as they lose to the now 3-0 Saints 27-7. Now it's Cutler's team.... unofficially but officially : Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher will not play again this season, a source confirmed Monday to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Urlacher The six-time Pro Bowler had told the Chicago Tribune in a brief text message early Monday that his season was over. Urlacher left Sunday's 21-15 loss to the Green Bay Packers with a wrist injury in the third quarter. Bears coach Lovie Smith said Urlacher dislocated his wrist, and no timetable had been set for his return. Citing unnamed sources, the Tribune reported on Sunday night that Urlacher will have surgery when the team returns to Chicago. The newspaper reported that Urlacher had an X-ray at halftime, but an MRI was not needed. A miserable opening weekend for Lovie Smith and crew is now complete. And through Urlacher's level of play has made him overrated in most people's eyes, you don't have to be the biggest NFL fan to know how big a loss this is.

Well, it was a great opening barrage of games, as young quarterbacks shine, Adrian Peterson stars his MVP campaign in style, and a miraculous finish to the Broncos-Bengals game. What a way for the Matt Sanchez era to begin. A dominant 24-7 Jets win over the Texans, who looked terrible today offensively. But Darrell Revis shoutdown Andre Johnson, and Kris Jenkins led a Jets defense without Calvin Pace to harass Matt Schaub all day. Adrian Peterson was just a beast day, as the Brett Favre era started well today for the Vikings in their 34-20 win over the Browns, who will have a long season. To his credit through, Brady Quinn wasn't bad, going 21 for 35 for 205 yards and a touchdown. Long day for Chad Pennington and the Dolphins, as the Falcons defense handled their business in a 19-7 win.
