The 27-year-old missed a large part of the recently-concluded season due to knee and ankle injuries and has hardly played any competitive football since December. National coach Milovan Rajevac had hoped the former Lyon man would be passed fit for the showpiece tournament in South Africa this summer, but the Ghana Football Association today announced he was not expected to be back in action until the end of July. First Michael Ballack and now Michael Essien, both Chelsea midfielders ruled out of this World Cup. They surly do need the stuff that's in bold U.S. President Barack Obama on Saturday deliver a major speech in the Ghanaian parliament in which he stressed the importance of democracy and governance in the African continent, according to reports reaching here. In his speech, Obama hailed Ghana for its democratic institutions, saying the west African nation is a model for other African countries across the continent. The U.S. president said the African continent needs strong, democratic institutions. Obama also said development of the continent depends on good governance. But Obama must have forgotten about the last eight years himself, since he didn't say that his country, our country, sure as hell wasn't doing that itself .
