The consensus is clear, K'Naan by far the realest performance. Such common sense folks : Translated for you in a second : Translation: I prefer listening to K'naan "Wavin Flag" 100 times more than listening to Shakira's "Waka Waka". From the passionate MsAfroCan : And from white african, I couldn't sum it up any better :

Music Thread #1 For 3/11/10: Lady Antebellum Takes Back The Top Spot Over Sade

Since Billboard wasn't as early as they usually are with releasing the news on Wednesday, I had to postpone the album sales report until today. Then again, with how dreadful these album sales figures were, I guess maybe that is a reason why they were a little tardy. Regardless of it, Lady Antebellum won't be complaing, as they flip flop spots with Sade to be this week's #1 : Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" returns to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, bumping Sade's "Soldier of Love" down to No. 2, while six albums debut in the top 10 of the tally, the most since last October. After a three-week break at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" returns to No. 1 with 126,000 (up 6%), marking its third total week atop the list. It opened at No. 1 with 481,000 six weeks ago, and then held at No. 1 for a second week with 209,000. The set stepped aside for three weeks to the runner-up slot, playing second...

"This Is It" cashed in 2.2 million on its premiere night . Meanwhile, MJ has made $72 million after his death . Joe Budden continues to score in the "lose" column . Shakira's time has past in my mind. Younger pop artists have basically taken over her own her lane in the game, and that single she has out right now just isn't generating anything. 50 Cent's album has leaked.....here is one link to the "Psycho" song from Eminem . And for that album, which has been planned way before even the rushed "Curtis" album, "Before I Self Destruct" isn't generating really any buzz at all. Quietly, Jay-Z and Black Eyed Peas albums went platinum last week, and both are over the 1.1 million threshold . Disappointing numbers for Mariah Carey though, and Whitney Houston will probably need a second single if she is to go platinum by year's end. And I guarantee you that this will be the worst rap album ever . This guy is not even good...

(Photo: Daniel Mihailescu/ Getty Images ) Madonna got booed massively last night in Romania. And the reason why : ....that is, until she denounced the pandemic discrimination of Gypsies. Then, the crowd turned on her. There are many videos on Youtube on the concert form last night, including this one. Though I don't think it's her getting booed. Moving on, a misleading headline from ALLHipHop.com So, are the Black Eyed Peas banning Muslims from their concerts? Um, not the case : The government of Malaysia has banned Muslims from attending a Black Eyed Peas concert in the country, because the event is sponsored by alcohol company Guinness. The government issued the ban after learning that the Black Eyed Peas would be celebrating the 250th anniversary of Guinness’ first brewery as part of a concert at a theme park in Kuala Lumpur on September 25. “The party is only open to non-Muslims aged 18 years and above,” a representative for the Ministry of Information, Communication and...

You know what this song is all about. And it is one of the few songs that Fergie is tolerable on. In fact, it's her debut song with the Black Eyed Peas. At least they are getting paid now, thank goodness. Where Is The Love? - Black Eyed Peas

Photo from MTV.com I'm shocked it has never happened before, but congrats to them Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 -- the hip-pop act's best sales week ever. It's also the first No. 1 album for the group , which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005's "Monkey Business," bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000. It had the unfortunate luck to come out the same week as Coldplay's "X&Y," which kept the Peas' at bay when it started at No. 1 with 737,000. Believe it or not, "The E.N.D." is only the second top 10 album for the Peas. While everyone else's sales go down, theirs go up. Eminem is platinum, while Dave Matthews band is well on their way. Mos Def knew his numbers were going to be low, which shows you how people don't know "quality" if it gave them a billon dollars right in your face. But I sure hope Pretty Ricky ...
