Put it down in record that Amare Stoudemire was the one who broke the ice in the Free Agency 2010 party. The max deal from the New York Knicks given to the now former Phoenix Suns power forward puts him clearly among the highest paid in the game, and sets the stage for the Knicks to possibly land another notable name in this massively important epoch. Now there will be seriously questions as to whether Stoudemire is truly worth all of this currency. The one that pops up the most is to whether he will be just as effective playing for the first time in his career without Steve Nash to set him up. And the jury is already out on his poor defending, certainly an area that his new team badly needs vast improvement in. With Stoudemire coming to the Knicks, this looks like it signals the end of the New York career of the solid David Lee. With the Knicks rumored to doing a sign and trade deal with Golden State for Monte Ellis, it seems the Florida Gator alum will be shifted out of town. B...
