It's here, and it's been on a lot of people's minds : And! It’s the 3DS! pics shortly. 3.5″ upper screen. Only bottom is touchable. Graphics improvements. Control 3D effect with dial. Analog and d-pad. Wait, slide pad. 3D pictures. Automatic communication with online and other devices no matter what game is being played, even if the device is asleep. Kind of creepy. Lots of games launching with 3DS, third and first party. Nintendogs + Cats! Yeah, lots of third parties here. Atlus, EA, Konami, Harmonix, Sega, Activision, capcom, bandai….. argh, they disappeared. Here are some of the titles definitely coming to 3DS (not all titles are complete), we’ll have to get the rest from the video. DJ Hero 3D Kingdom Hearts 3D Saints Row 3D Madden and FIFA 3D Resident Evil Batman Assassin’s Creed: Lost legacy Metal Gear Solid To Tevin, Goodnight:

The Fun Thread #2 For 5/26/10: An Epic Crossover

Too hilarious. For all you Nintendo video game fans, here is when Ryu Hayabusa crosses over into Mario. Oh dear Ann Curry : After taking the stage to launch into the school's 175th commencement address, she sought to drive home the inspirational content of her speech by ticking off the names of a few of the school's more illustrious alums. Among the entries on the Curry honor roll: "60 Minutes" correspondent Lesley Stahl, evangelist Billy Graham, slasher-film director Wes Craven, and United Airlines Flight 93 passenger Todd Beamer. There was just one problem: Apart from Stahl, everyone on that list actually graduated from another Wheaton College, the Christian liberal-arts college in Wheaton, Illinois. That is so embarrassing......and I have to hold my laughter on that one. No one cares MySpace , no one cares. Martin Scorsese eyes Al Pacino as the one to play Frank Sinatra . Megan Fox's replacement for Transformers 3 (ugggh at that series continuing)....

The Fun Thread #2 For 5/21/10: PAC-MAN 30th Birthday!!!

Image
And Google is going all out for it, if you haven't known about it : And here is some great facts of the 30th Birthday of Google : The 30th Anniversary of the old school video game Pac-Man is on Saturday. While you may be a huge Pac-Man fan there are a few interesting facts that you might not have known: The original title of Pac-Man was "Pakku-Man" in Japan. In American the original title was to be "Puck-Man" but game makers thought teens would vandalize the machines to change the first letter to F. - The sound effect "paku-paku" is a Japanese onomatopoeic for the sound effect of opening and closing the mouth in succession. An onomatopoeic is a word that sounds like the action. Other onomatopoeias are Swish, bam, boom, meow and, zip. You can see the rest of it at the link, a lot of great stuff.

The Daily Open Thread #2 For 8/29/09: "Mario Kart: The Movie"

Pure genius.

The Daily Whole Delivery Open Thread For 6/2/09: Conan Has A Good First Show, Tetris Turns 25

Image
I didn't really have that much interest in Co debut as the new "Tonight Show" host, but I always though of him as cool enough for me. Glad to see he had a nice debut. Conan O'Brien's premiere as host of NBC's "Tonight Show" drew the highest overnight ratings for a Monday episode in four years. And Tetris celebrates its 25th year of existence! I didn't know Nintendo no longer had exclusive rights to the franchise, as Electronic Arts has the rights to the franchise . Oh, and for those who don't know: Fox's new cartoon, "Sit Down, Shut Up", has already been shelved. after just a few episodes. Be back later, but for now, outside business has got to be handled. Enjoy the other posts below.....along with this one too.
