The Daily Open Thread For 2/20/10: It's Like Not Knowing Your Nose Is For Breathing

That's what I akin it to and all with those people, who sure had a good time with Glenn Chalkboard Dreck just now :

The Daily Open Thread For 8/24/09: Jeremy Scahill Smackdown Of Chuck Todd

On Bill Maher on Friday, classic from this terrific journalist on a not so, status quo loving one. And get this from Glenn Greenwald about what Todd said to Scahill Right as we walked off stage, he said to me "that was a cheap shot." I said "what are you talking about?" and he said "you know it." I then said that I monitor msm coverage very closely and asked him what was not true that I said on the show. He then replied: "that's not the point. You sullied my reputation on TV." Like your reputation matters Todd? What a clown he is. More to come later....including today's many explosive headlines. There's plenty of them to come.

The Epilogue: Sigh....Bill Maher Is Right Again: Our Country Is Stupid

Just in case you missed it yesterday, here's what Bill Maher said to hack Wolf Blitzer . Now Maher's arrogance has steadily grown over the years. And for some, he can be utterly intolerable. But he is a good guy at day's end, a real good one. And he makes points about this country that few with his platform would dare to even think of, let alone say. And we all know, if we are true with ourselves, that what he said is right. We are a stupid country. We're such a stupid country that we deny Hawaii sometimes as being the 50th state like some are currently doing now (and more, but that's been well covered). We are such a stupid country that we still give mics to the likes of Bachmann. We are such...

Meghan McCain Wore Thin A Long Time Ago

The moment they allowed her to speak on television for me is when her clueless arrogance and spoiled stupidity annoyed me.

The Cinema for 10/3/08- Bill Maher's Religulous and the Beloved "Rachel Getting Married"

Image
Hathaway May Get All the Love, But She Isn't the Real Reason Why the Critics Love "Rachel Getting Married" (photo from the movie, thanks to the New York Daily News Now, I'm going to say this and say this quick: I would defeat Bill Maher in a debate about religion, and in particular, my religion. I say that with total conviction. Nevertheless, I want to see his movie "Religulous" because he is one of my favorite people in television, no matter how much Christians have pissed him by not knowing enough about their religion like they should (and thus, making him back down with their own version of liberal, rational thought). And from the looks of it, it is getting good reviews. Real good reviews. However, real great reviews is in store for Anne Hathaway, writer Jenny Lumet and director Jonathan Demme for the tremendous "Rachel Getting Married." Hell, when a movie gets five stars, that says something there. And it makes up for the disaster of a movie ...
