The Whole Delivery

More later on information that most of you know about me from this morning, but for any new fans of this page, or for those who don't know me, here is a feature normally present at The Whole Delivery. It's the Flashback Fridays, a staple of TWD Fridays, to end your work week in some sort of bliss, especially if it was difficult. It is a look back at classic music videos, especially if they took place 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 years ago. So with that said, here is one of this week's choices, again, it is the wonderful Alanis Morissette's charismatic hit song "Ironic" from 1996. Incredibly enough, she is only 39 right now. Fitting for this spring day as some rainy weather returns to the Northeast, here is the one and only Missy Elliott with the 1997 classic "The Rain", the first selection today for this week's Flashback Friday.

The one known as Ms. OChristine popped the 90's NBC TV sitcom show Blossom in my head yesterday. Now, though I was never a massive fan of the show (or even a casual follower of it), I am a sucker for 90's nostalgia. It had a great theme show, and the episodes I saw of it were enjoyable. And with that, this Open thread is sorta dedicated towards it. Here's the fun theme song to the show, because they sure as hell don't make these intos like they use to anymore: Way back in January this year, CBS' The Early Show interviewed the two main stars of the show to see where they were at. And thankfully, it seems both of them are doing well. I couldn't give you any embed video because the embed was taken off over at Youtube, so in order to see old school episodes, just role over there. Enjoy.

Though I don't know if I'll become a Giants fan if I move to Silicon Valley The number of San Francisco retirees or their survivors knocking back $100,000 or more a year in city pensions has grown to 709. That's 229 more than last year. It's also 124 more than for all of Los Angeles - a city with more than four times San Francisco's population - according to figures freshly provided to the California Foundation for Fiscal Responsibility, a pension reform group. Those in San Francisco who have earned a ride on the golden highway include six former police chiefs, four former fire chiefs or their widows and a slew of former department heads. The highest pension - $242,000 - goes to former Police Chief Earl Sanders. He got a $20,000 bump this year, thanks to a cost-of-living increase. Makes me think about this great show (ok, it wasn't that great, but it's memorable): Oh how I miss the 90's.
