Happy Black Violent Friday 2011

Image
Sharing that U.S. holiday spirit of good will for another year. And these various reports tell of a nation that sure does loves its Wal-Mart , a company who treats its employees by enduring nutcase people like this without being unionized. It sure does seem like same human behavior, doesn't it? Happy National "Shop While Getting Stomped Day Everyone."

The Labor Day 1st Thread For 9/6/10: Their Day

Image
Demonized almost every single day of the year, today is the day where unions of all shapes and sizes can possibly be praised (or not have to hear another deranged verbal assailment on them.) So for the SEIU, the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, UAW, and all the other inions in this country who have dealt with the hard times and battles of fighting for workers rights, happy Labor Day indeed to them. Because their enemies really do hate that a holiday is given towards these unions.

The 1st Thread, Memorial Day Version For 5/31/10

Image
Thanks to inclimate weather, Obama had to have his Memorial Day speech cut short : President Barack Obama's Memorial Day observance was stopped in its tracks on Monday by a torrential downpour accompanied by bolts of lightning and booming thunder. Obama thrilled the crowd at Abraham Lincoln National Ceremony by appearing under an umbrella as the rain poured down. But he did not deliver his prepared remarks honoring troops who died fighting for the United States. Instead he urged the crowd to seek shelter in their cars. "I am going back to mine," he said from the podium, the storm so loud his words could barely be heard through the amplifiers. As it became obvious that the storm was not going to ease, aides announced that Obama would not make his speech. Instead, he climbed onto buses where the crowds had taken shelter and greeted the visitors who had been soaked by the storm. And the legend that is OTOOLEFAN provides the line of the day, as he always does . ...

The Poignant For 4/4/10, Easter Sunday Special: One Place That Represents Christianity So Well

Image
On the buildup towards this Easter Sunday, the images of those supposedly exhibiting the Christian faith (or so they say) has been for a lack of a better word, brutal. From the painful escapes of the Roman Catholic Church's cover up of child molestation events to the utter nutcases of the militia group planning to take down government officials, it's been nothing short of forgettable for one trying to probably explain to their atheist friends again "Why are they Christian" (or follow any other faith for that matter). But there is one person who without a doubt can answer that question with a full conviction of "Yes." And that is one PastorDan . I haven't met PastorDan , and this is the first time on the rational online community to talk at some length about the individual. How could I talk about an individual that I don't know? Because PastorDan represents the necessary template in order for one to be not just an invaluable liberal Chris...

A Special Sunday Sunshine For 4/4/10: Happy Easter 2010- Kanye West ("Jesus Walks", All 3 Versions)

A song fitting for this day, here is when Mr. West was in a sane, humble state of being. God bless to everyone on this day across the world, no matter who you are. And everyday as well. The awesome first version: The second version, which is iffy: And the third version: Lots to come on this great day. Stay tuned everyone.

The Good Friday 1st Thread For 4/2/10: Song Fitting For This Day- Bone Thugs N Harmony ("Crossroads") (1996)

Probably my favorite song in my life:

The Black Friday Open Thread #1 For 11/27/09

Happy Black Friday everyone. Hope you avoided stampedes if you woke up early this morning. Happy 50th birthday to Rocky and Bullwinkle Before this Thanksgiving, this nation was already a fat one . Also apart of the fat list are Germany, Egypt, Israel, and Britain. And imagine how much fatter the US would be if they didn't throw out this much food . In as informal as a tone as you will see from me on this website, Suck on that AT&T! 13 seasons of South Park, wow. But it is not the best animated show on television though. An interesting article on Hezbollah here . And for all my Muslim friends, colleagues, and throughout, a happy Eid Mubarak as the Haji season concludes: Since all religious celebrations are in a huge way a cleansing of hearts and souls, so are they a call to people to lead lives away from the kind of squalor that some often create through littering on Eid-ul-Azha. Let such a spirit of cleanliness be upheld. At the same time, let the city authorities ensure tha...
