I always love an underrated story...and man, that is certainly the case with one Susan Boyle. I (and many others I might add) didn't expect this. But I am pleasantly surprised YouTube sensation and former "Britain's Got Talent" contestant Susan Boyle's debut album "I Dreamed a Dream" opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 701,000 copies sold in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan -- the best sales week for an album in the U.S. this year. 2009's previous high-water mark came when Eminem's "Relapse" sold 608,000 in its opening week. In fact, Boyle's sales frame is the best the chart has seen since AC/DC's "Black Ice" bowed with 784,000 upon its release in October 2008. 700K copies! And get this great stat The arrival of "I Dreamed a Dream" also marks the best opening week for a female artist's debut album since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. Boyle beats out Ashanti for t...

Yeah, like Chris Brown really needs to have a fight with Jay-Z (and more a little later on other things Mr. Shawn has to deal with in this thread.) Oh man, now Wyclef is starting to believe the rumors that deep down, he doesn't believe in . Yeah, Adam Lambert is in the news . What else is new? Tisk tisk tisk, Giant Magazine is going bye bye . Guns n Roses are coming to South America . And No Beanie , I don't think Nas will waste his time with this. And Jay-Z won't ask him too. More to come.....

Since you have gotten a dose of that and heard all the news by now. Can we please stop asking him this same DAMN question......they aren't going to have a reunion unless something drastic or major happens. And I don't see that coming So please, stop asking him the SAME DAMN question. Adam Labert and Lady Gaga get together......... in the studio . Um, when did Mya get on "Dancing With The Stars " this season? Give much love to the rapper Saigon...... his mother passed away . I did say this thread was non Rihanna news. It can't get any more non-Rihanna than this .

From Jason LaVeris of FilmMagic This Adam Lambert dude is busy making moves . And he's working with Lady Gaga's producer apparently . There won't be any cameras allowed when Rihanna testifies in the Chris Brown case. Well, TV cameras that is, but your cell phone could be used in a sly manner possibly. DMC met with President Obama yesterday for Father's Day talk.

The Dave Matthews band shows that the music download times and the recession hasn't stopped its fans from buying their album. The group is, not surprisingly, number one on the Billboard charts . Dave Matthews Band strikes again with its fifth-consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1 as "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" bows in the penthouse of the Billboard 200 with a whopping 424,000. Better still, it's the fifth-straight studio set from the group to open with a sales week of at least 400,000. The act's last studio set, 2005's "Stand Up," stood tall with 465,000 in its first frame. The band had the third biggest debut of the year, as only Eminem and U2 had higher first week sales. Speaking of Em, he'll likely go platinum next week. Britney's tour is coming to America. North America that is (because we can't leave out our NEIGHBORS TO THE north, though she didn't put our neighbors to the South though on the schedule. The sad stor...

Adam Lambert, the rock guy who "came out" and finished second on America Idol, has signed with 19 Recordings and RCA . Mos Def album is out. Please, at the very least, here it. And that includes myself as well. I guess this is a good move by Atlantic Records . But the really why I'm not all the way praising them for this move is because of how untrustworthy labels how become nowadays. Rapper Max B will appeal the charge of murder he received today . Why Wyclef, why ? Brett Michaels is ok, despite public humiliation and a broken nose staying with him. And Blink 182 is coming back . Besides Travis Barker, I haven't seen those other two guys since Windows 2000 was still the think.

Quick news and notes: Photo from hitfix Beastie Boys are coming back again with a new album . So I won't get flamed for never giving you any American Idol news, that Adam Lambert dude may revive the careers of Queen. There, I said it. Let the "Free T.I" campaign begin . HAHAHA, Scarlett Johansson actually has a music career ? That's like Billy Crystal having a baseball career . Bubba Sparxxx has really fallen on hard times. Thank the Good Lord that it will be "anti-auto -tune." And rapture is felt from me because Mos Def has a new one!
