The Glorious End To A Glorious Era

And a throwback from yesteryear and thensome. The interview highlights from over the course of time (though the most recent ones may dominate the majority of them in this deserving thread for him). And this video for last week, his closing commentary on the American Dream, which was touching. The final episode of Bill Moyers Journal, with Bill Moyers, airs tonight on your local PBS station at its regular time. It's a 90 minute finale, taking place in the heartland, a journey to the state of Iowa. But even if this esteemed individual signs off on TV for good, you can sign on of him at his Twitter page . And you never know, for you could sign on with him in person somewhere, at someplace, at sometime.

In some weird universe of jealousy and envy, Travis Smiley continues to criticize President Obama in a really embarrassing and erroneous manner. He continues to say simply that Obama hasn't focused enough on black people in his 15+ months as executive chief, only for the directly in his peripheral stating the exact opposite. The usually sound Cynthia Tucker from the AJC at least provides a national column from someone with recognition to point out how ridiculously (and probably intentionally) myopic Smiley's perspective is on this issue. And though the important distinction of health insurance doesn't necessary mean health care wasn't made by her in that column, the evidence has been clear that Obama has nowhere near abandoned or neglected African-Americans like Smiley and his brigade think.
