Much attention from Countdown tonight has expectedly come from Keith's special comment expressing his disapproval with the sad bill that we have at the moment. But for me, despite how great that was to see from him as usual, even more of a steering indictment for how horrible this legislation is comes from the thoughts of one Wendell Potter. Potter, the former CIGNA executive figure, has been a crucial voice to listen to the whole entire year. He has lived the life of the health insurance companies that he fights now today, knowing the same people that he worked really can't stand him for exposing the aspersions and immoralities of his former colleagues. In 1994, you would have been angry with Wendell Potter. Hell, you may still be angry with him if you are familiar with him. Being the head corporate communication figure of CIGNA, Potter played a massive role in what we all know now: Clinton halth care reform defeated and to this day, an awful, immoral and (mostly importantly for some) fiscally unstable health care system.
