The Flashback Fridays #2 For 4/10/15: Ludacris - Act a Fool (2003)

Image
In honor of Furious 7 being the biggest grossing debut ever for a movie, here is the lead song to the series' second movie after the shockingly successful first movie. It's from Sir Ludacris with a song that isn't played that much anymore. It's "Act a Fool" from Ludacris, the second Flashback Friday choice after the first one . Again, his flow & genius is so underrated. More to come at The Whole Delivery folks, stay tuned.

The Flashback Fridays For 10/24/14: Missy Elliott feat Ludacris - Gossip Folks (2003)

Image
Right in the middle of the great Missy creative wave to her earned mainstream credentials, "Gossip Folks" proved as another installment to the Virginia rap star's tremendous originality. With Ludacris adding his enormous wit and top form at that time, Missy was guaranteed to provide another outstanding video to compliment her latest electric track. With Timbaland and her jointed to the hip as always, "Gossip Folks" may have never have gotten as much love as "Get Your Freak On" or "Work It," but it was still nevertheless as brilliant as those two mega hits. Your flashback music choice for the day, it's Missy Elliott featuring Ludacris with "Gossip Folks." More to come from TWD, stay tuned.

Image
While "8701" was a quality album that got Usher back in the picture, when "Yeah" was the first single released for "Confessions," that is when his career reached true global superstardom on all platforms. With Lil Jon and Luda helping especially Lil Jon with the clutch producing, and Sean Garrett playing the role as key writer of many, here is the song that raised Usher to another level. It's "Yeah" from 10 years ago. More to come at The Whole Delivery today for sure, stay tuned.

Image
Image from FIFA.com Congrats to the Super Eagles, another World Cup Finals for you Nigeria. Meanwhile, it's the return of this Saturday thread, meaning both Ludacris and De La Soul. The Fun Links New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie really needed to do this . Well, we barely knew Alec Baldwin's show . Joan Jett being a vegetarian has cost her a spot on a Macy's Parade float . Yes, you read that correctly. Friday Night Lights fans, you may like this or not . Jamie Kilstein is really trying to make moves . This looks like a great interview: “ @STiffert : exclusive Interview tonight @mauricegreene talking to @usainbolt ! 19.45cet @Eurosport #iaaf gala pic.twitter.com/3Pp2PLjStL ” — Usain St. Leo Bolt (@usainbolt) November 16, 2013 And speaking of interesting interviews , especially when they talk about the, well, you can see for yourself. Your Saturday fun, at TWD.

Music Midday Energy Boost For 11/16/11: Ludacris Slams Big Sean and Drake In Needed Diss

Image
It was always just humorous that both of them thought they invented a story that has been years long before they were in diapers (in terms of music relevance, not literally). To be real, this was more of a warning shot than an actual damaging diss (the lines weren't one knockout line after knockout line). But even without him saying their name, Luda definitely directed it big time at Big Sean and Drake wrong statements.

Music Midday Energy Boost For 2/1/11: David Banner feat Ludacris- Be With You (2010)

Image
One of the more underrated tracks out right now, here's David Banner featuring Ludacris at his usual top quality guest appearance role, with "Be With You." Though Marsha Ambrosius is on this track, she wasn't in this video unfortunately. Nevertheless, hopefully this post will facilitate album sales for Banner's " Death of a Pop Star ". Again, it's the 9th Wonder produced track "Be With You", your energy boost for the day:

The Saturday Miscellaneous Thread For 9/25/10

Image
As always, start of the Saturday main thread with Luda: A great romantic story, thanks to social media . Ice cream is now being rationalized at Gitmo . These people won't be having dance lessons anytime soon . The food industry is a nightmare . These car designs are quite amazing : And to close, it's De La Soul:

The Saturday 1st Thread/All Day Thread For 9/18/10: Lots of Stuff.

Bring in Luda to start the show: Could the controversial and civilian casualty created CIA drone program be halted ? A lawsuit winding its way through the Massachusetts courts could threaten one of the worst-kept secrets around: the CIA's drone program, which targets high-profile terrorists and insurgents in Pakistan. Intelligent Integration Systems Inc. (IISI), a Boston software company, is asking a judge to immediately stop customers, including the CIA, from using proprietary geospatial software that it says another company illegally reverse engineered. The request for a legal injunction filed earlier this month was posted Thursday evening by the Narcosphere.com. That lady was seriously crazy . Seriously, the late 90's in 90 seconds . All of these movies really do make Boston look bad . So damn true, because they really need to stop playing them . And the 10 most stylish means of time travel . And to close out, here's De La Soul as always: De La Soul - ...

The Saturday 1st Thread For 9/4/10: The Safest City To Drive Is Somewhere In Colorado

First, let's bring in Luda: It's the Saturday 1st Thread, making a needed return to your day. The theme of this week's Saturday 1st Thread is this interesting look at how it's more dangerous to drive in LA and even Philly than it is the Big Apple apparently : Fort Collins, Colorado has again been named America's Safest Driving City, while drivers in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Dallas leave a lot to be desired—if you wish to avoid an accident, that is. So assesses Allstate Insurance Company [NYSE:ALL], in its annual America's Best Drivers Report, which looks at collision frequency in the 200 largest U.S. cities. Those in Fort Collins are in a collision once every 14.5 years (about 31 percent less likely than average), while those in Philadephia will be in a crash once every 6.5 years (nearly 54 percent more likely than average). And of course, your Saturday Fun Thread couldn't be compete with De La Soul: De La Soul - Roller Skating Jam Named S...

The Saturday 1st Thread (Very Late Edition) For 8/21/10: With A Special Edition

Very late edition, but still here: Luda.... With Al Franken continuing the fight against those who threaten democracy online : Franken had choice words for this plan, none of them good. Google and Verizon's scheme empowers the FCC to, "get this—'publish a report'," he dryly commented, while his audience laughed again. "But there's an even bigger issue here. It's that when government will not act, corporations will. And unlike government agencies, which have a legal responsibility to protect American consumers, the only thing corporations care about, the only thing that they have a legal duty to promote, is their bottom line." "We can't let companies write the rules that they're supposed to follow," Franken added, "because if that happens those rules are going to be written only to protect corporations." .....And De La Soul:
