The Flashback Fridays for 2016 really gets into high gear on the third Friday of the new year. It's the debut single a decade ago that put Ne-Yo on the journey from talented behind the scenes songwriter to platinum star artist. With the fine production effort of the Neff-U, Rob Feemstar, giving the instrumental, it's the artist Shaffer Smith with Peddi Crakk with "Stay." More to come from The Whole Delivery, stay tuned.

Look who says she will be coming back at the start of next year : After years of keeping her fans waiting, Amy Winehouse has promised that she'll release a new album by January of next year. "The album will be six months at the most," Winehouse told Metro UK, who caught up with the singer this week at the London premiere of the film "Psychosis." "It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are… just jukebox, really." "I just can't wait to have new songs on stage, really," Winehouse added. Another nice prison letter from Lil Wayne . Ne-Yo's new videos, even though he is usually been terrible at making videos:

Music AM Wakeup Call For 8/6/09: Ne-Yo feat Peddi Peddi- "Stay"

The first single that has led to a hit maker's career get big like it is now. From 2005, and for me, his best songs still. Here 's Ne-Yo featuring the long forgotten Peddi Peddi with "Stay."

Music Thread #1 for 7/13/09: Long Before Beyonce Said "To The Left".....This Guy Was Saying It Long Before

And since Ne-Yo wrote "Irreplaceable", he's a biter. (By the way, I'm just joking for those who don't know).

Music Thread #1 for 12/8/08: The Runthrough, Including A Time When Ne-Yo Wasn't So Popular

Spit. Random quotes that still won't be enough to generate international news pandemonium came from Curtis Jackson's mouth today. As Shaheem Reid wrote today, 50 says Eminem is " Like his grandmother." The rest of the article is really not worth reading, through Em's new song "Number one" leaked on Friday (and for some, probably earlier.) So early, that it isn't even finished. The new 1.Here's struggling to get back to full relevance Britney Spears with "Cirus." Just why on Earth did her writers call it "Cirus?" No PR skills there. 2. HAHAHAHA, Busta Rhymes is catching some heat for his new song "Arab Money" which came out a few weeks ago. He certainly didn't mean it in that way did Busta, but nowadays, you got to look at an idea from all angles. By the way, talk about a rough year. Most forgot that he even put out an album in the summer. Andre 3000 and Cartoon Network are getting sued for "Class of 3000...

Music Thread #1 for 10/14/08- Madonna Has Some Harsh Words For Palin

Image
Once again, I apologize for not posting a music news thread in a few days. Times get hectic, and that has been the case recently. In fact, it has always been the case, but you catch my drift. Anyway, here is the first of two news threads in the music world today (I promise there will be two). (Photo: Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images ) Haha, those Philly fans on Saturday will have a hard time beating Madonna in having the most disgust for Sarah Palin in this country (outside of Alaska and Walt Monegan of course). This is too hilarious : Madonna first banned the governor from the tour. In between sets, she screamed, "Sarah Palin can't come to my party! Sarah Palin can't come to my show!" As the week progressed, Madonna even threatened to "kick her ass." HAHAHAHAHAHA. Maybe the label was so freaked out that they had to say something to the material girl. "It's a metaphor," she said. "She's in the Republican Party, I'm in the Democratic P...
