I'm absolutely gutted by this : David Beckham's England career could be over as he looks certain to miss the World Cup after tearing his Achilles tendon during AC Milan's 1-0 victory over Chievo. Milan coach Leonardo said after the game: "Beckham's injury makes us feel terrible. He is an extraordinary guy and today's game proves it yet again. "David understood immediately that he had torn his Achilles tendon. When the tendon breaks, everything comes away and the muscle starts to rise. I felt great pity for him. This injury has been a heavy blow for him and for us. Unfortunately the party is ruined. In addition, this signals not only the end of his England career, but also the end of his European club football career as well. For one of the most likable guys in all of sports, I am devastated for him. Really devastated. And I know form Fabio Capello to all the fans even in Portsmouth in woe that they are devastated as well.

David Beckham almost got into a fight with a fan LA Galaxy fans who gave him some harsh words and boos in their 2-2 exhibition draw with the team he went on loan from the Galaxy, AC Milan. Too funny to read about. The 34-year-old tried to hurdle a barrier to get to a group of fans who had been jeering him throughout the match and appeared to make a "come on" gesture. Security had to hold the star back as he tried to get across to the supporters, while one fan had to be stopped from getting out of the stand to confront the star. A hardcore section of the crowd booed Beckham every time he touched the ball and held aloft signs reading "Go Home Fraud'' and "23: Repent'' in reference to his shirt number. Another read: "Hey Becks, Here Before You, Here after You, Here Despite You'' while one stated...
