Manny Pacquiao had no difficulties outclassing Joshua Clottey in a one sided showcase of his prodigious skills. The Ghanian did get a few shots in, and if you looked at both fighters after the 12 rounds, you would have thought Pacquiao endured a beating while Clottey looked fresh. Nevertheless, it was painful for those who actually paid the $50 for this fight, as Pacquiao threw ten zillion times more punches than his very defensive counterpart. The cries of Mayweather-Pacquiao/Pacquiao-Mayweather are being uttered again by many, as Pacquiao still wants the fight. Shane Mosley will try and prevent that from happening come May. But Mayweather prevented that from happening tonight.

Thanks to the Olympic blood testing request of the Floyd Mayweather camp, the March 13 scheduled fight between him and Manny Pacquiao is off as being reported. Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, broke that news. Shame for boxing if this is the case, and let's hope a reconciliation can somehow happen in all of this.

Says the great Dan Rafael The proposed super fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is getting closer. Mayweather agreed to terms for the welterweight title bout on Tuesday, multiple sources with knowledge of the negotiations told ESPN.com. The proposed date is March 13, although there is a chance it could move to May 1, sources said. Mayweather, according to a source close to him, is OK with either date. Now the latter date could become as a problem as Rafael describes, because of Pacquiao facing eligibility issues for trying to become a Congressional figure in the Philippines. And the whole prize money split hasn't been even ironed out yet it seems. But the progress towards this fight is happening fast and frantic.
