Maybe It Was For The Love Of The Money

Image
Photo from Monsivais of the Associated Press The O'Jays must have been in his head. Or maybe not Jonathan Allen reports newly-amended financial disclosure forms find that Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) -- who heckled President Obama last night -- is heavily leveraged and his debts may even exceed his assets. The new filings reveal for the first time hundreds of thousands of dollars in previously unreported loans from federal credit unions and banks. A Wilson aide did not reply to e-mailed requests for information, and phone lines to Wilson's office were jammed. Meanwhile, Wilson's Democratic opponent in next year's election has pulled in over $300,000 in new campaign contributions since last night. In debt. Maybe someone should hold a "You Liar" rally for this man. And while we are at it, let's show high morale Joe in a great past moment. "Hatred of America." What a guy.

President Snowe Is Back!!!!!

You just got to lover her audacity: Hey, at least she still thinks she is the 45th President of the United States of America!

White House To Ignore Baucus Plan

This is what Baucus gets for doing this yesterday Good. Bypass him at all cost, no matter how much he yells that he is bypassing the Republicans.

Is This The Journalism Campbell Brown Was Talking About?

Another CNN fail. Gosh, they sure do practice some journalism over there now. The old days of the network are no question rolling in its grave.

8/6/09: TWD's Agenda For The Day: The Genius Of Jed Lewison

Genius.

It's Just Gets Higher And Higher Each Day

"Teh Stupid" level is truly infinite.

You got to love it. As I said on Twitter (click on to see it bigger): Indeed so. More to come.

While TWD Was Silent........This Has Been Happening on TRONN (UPDATED with correction from Kagro X)

Image
Thanks to Jed, here's video of the authorities confirming that James von Bunn had an illegal gun. The NRA, of course, has no comment on this, although no one asked them, to be fair: Crooks and Liars has video of the WHO saying the swine flu is a "pandemic." Jane Hamsher over at her site Firedoglake says that Rahm Emmanuel is forcing pork in the conference report titled Cash for Clunkers. Now to make sure things are straight instead of doing Campbell Brown like journalism, Obama never said that pork barrel spending would all be gone. He said that wasteful projects would be cut. But we'll see, and it appears so, that the pork Emmanuel is pushing is wasteful. David Waldman reports that Joe "Smug" Lieberman got his wish. His amendment stays thanks to some in the House. UPDATED : David has corrected me, the Lieberman amendment is still OUT. Media Matters makes Newt Gingrich look stupid again. Also, they show that sometimes, Joe isn't as dumb as he thinks. We...

He Just Can't Stop Being Stupid

You just run of words to describe Michael Steele: Updated :.....Yet, this fool describes the Obama Administration as "numb nuts"

A Commercial Not Worth Showing Even at 3AM

Take it away Jed : Break out the popcorn, because there's a nutty new ad from the same people that brought you terror over a "smoking gun that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud." It's the smaller-than-life story of of how President Obama wants to release terrorists in Guantanamo Bay so that they can smuggle nuclear weapons into the United States, and it's presented by the RNC:

If You STILL Needed Anymore Evidence.............

Conservative radio host Erich "Mancow" Muller may have seen the light after enduring this. And via Jed Lewison, the Chicago Sun Times has more videos of journalists exploring the joys of "TORTURE: waterboard style" as well: Never thought I would say this, but I guess Christopher Hitchens deserves some credit for starting a trend? Forget Sean Hannity, and focus on not only asking Dick Cheney this, but also, Liz Cheney if they would undergo this, as well.

A Hell of A Point

The Daily Kos' tireless video editor Jed Lewison makes a point that many (outside of Keith Olbermann, Josh Marshall , Jacob Heilburn ) have missed. That point is the fact that the last Vice President today still continues to link 9/11 and Al Qaeda with Iraq. It is pathetic desperation at its highest (and absolute saddest as well). That Cheney would once again lie about Iraq is no big surprise, but the fact that he told those lies once again during today’s speech should raise even more questions about the veracity of his torture defense. The man is a pathological liar, and there is no reason to believe a word he says. Sadly though, there are still a good bit that not only believes what he says, but even if they don't believe, don't mind at all giving him the time of day to spew his extreme bile in the face of this nation.

11/13/08: TWD's Late Agenda For The Day: The Trial of The Senate Judas, Part 1

Image
The trial of Joe Lieberman has been discussed vehemently, all over the liberal online network. From the Daily Kos: Mr.Moulitsas on Evan Bayh saying Lieberman needs to say on the committee , after he has a "sincere apology" of some sort. M-squared believes Lieberman has too much ego to shown penitence. Of course, we all know Lieberman never will issue such an apology. He doesn't think he did anything wrong. His megalomania is such that it prevents him from every showing any humility or regret. So will Bayh still whip his fellow Democratic senators in favor of Lieberman if Lieberman refuses to offer that heartfelt public apology? He'd look foolish if he did so. Then again, Lieberman has never given a damn about making his allies look foolish. Bayh may end up being just the latest in a long line of people burned by Lieberman's insufferable sanctimony. Also from the Kos is Jed Lewison perspective on this, and it isn't at all warm to what Bayh said, even if it ma...

11/1/08-TWD's Agenda For "Satur"Day: Cheney Endorses McCain

HAHAHAHA, as TPM said, an election eve gift from the Republican Party to John McCain. Obama's response : President Bush is sitting out the last few days before the election. But earlier today, Dick Cheney came out of his undisclosed location and hit the campaign trail. He said that he is, and I quote, "delighted to support John McCain." I’d like to congratulate Senator McCain on this endorsement because he really earned it. That endorsement didn’t come easy. Senator McCain had to vote 90 percent of the time with George Bush and Dick Cheney to get it. He served as Washington’s biggest cheerleader for going to war in Iraq, and supports economic policies that are no different from the last eight years. So Senator McCain worked hard to get Dick Cheney’s support. But here’s my question for you, Colorado: do you think Dick Cheney is delighted to support John McCain because he thinks John McCain’s going to bring change? Do you think John McCain and Dick Cheney have been talking ...

10/30/08- TWD's Agenda For The Day: SOP Chairman Shows How Out Of Touch He And His Party Is

From the great Jed Lewison : NRSC Chairman John Ensign of Nevada not only essentially concedes defeat at the presidential level, but also blames voters for the GOP's failures, saying that they have "mistakenly" blamed Bush for the nation's economic woes. The real culprits, according to Ensign? Congressional Democrats and their "overregulation." Lewison concludes: Just another Republican living in the state of denial. Sadly, that still is the case, for me, that is so hard to understand. How literally "out oft ouch" and insensitive prominent members of this party are at this point of their well-known deterioration is stunning to say the least. The Agenda's P.S. is in the Comments section.

The Sleep Tme and Rise "n"Shine Thread for 10/26-27/08: McCain Says He and Bush Share The Same Ideas

Probable the dumbest gaffe of them all from John McGaffe: As Jed Lewison says : Now let me just ask you a simple question: at this point in the campaign, is there anything stupider that John McCain could have said about his political philosophy than to admit that he shares it with George W. Bush? Unfortunately, the media doesn't want you to know how stupid McCain's gaffe was. In fact, they are exonerating McCain himself. Unfortunately, there has been very little news coverage of McCain's blunder, nor of Obama's response . At least as of the writing of this blog entry, what little coverage there was had missed the point , reporting that it was Obama who had tied McCain to Bush when in fact it was McCain who had tied McCain to Bush. But, as you saw in the video. Obama-Biden won't let this go away so easily. Fortunately, yesterday was Sunday, giving Obama another shot to stick McCain with his words. Either he or Biden could say something about it today, or perhaps the ...

The Sleep Time and Rise "n" Shine Thread for 10/23-24/08: Other Vides of the Day

Goodness gracious, she is heartless towards abortion clinics who get bombed by terrorists. I thought you didn't like all terrorists Governor? Should I even call her governor at this point? Is she even worthy of that title. The Memo has their recap of yesterday (which is October 23 for this who maybe a little confused). Another desperate ad from McDesperate, now trying to twist Joe Biden's words on Sunday about Obama being tested in the early days of his Presidency as damaging towards the Illnois Senator: And Indiana is trying to be apart of some big history as well : Poll: Obama Ahead In Indiana A new SurveyUSA poll gives Barack Obama a 49%-45% lead in Indiana , with a ±4% margin of error, compared to a 48%-45% McCain lead from three weeks ago. The most recent three polls of this race now give Obama the lead in a state that hasn't gone Democratic since the 1964 LBJ landslide. The Read 1. DemFromCT's A.P.R.U ...... 2. ..... From A.P.R.U., this maybe the only time that I ...

Jed Lewison Puts CNN On Blast Hard Today

Image
We mentioned earlier how awesome Jed Lewison is . Here is another example , as neo-CNN shows how embarrassing of a network it has sadly become, thanks to AOL/Time Warner becoming owners. For some additional context, here's the stats on the number of mentions of "socialism" or "socialist" in the same context as "Obama" during first-run broadcasts on the cable networks since Friday as of 11:00 AM Pacific time on Monday: * All: 251 * CNN: 101 * FOX: 81 * MSNBC: 69 Seems that instead of being "fair and balanced" (i.e., giving the right-wing free rein to lie), CNN perhaps ought to be pursuing "truthful and accurate" reporting. * :: Typical of a once great network.

10/20/08- TWD's Agenda For the Day: The "Awesomeness" of the Awesome Jed Lewison; "The Read"

Image
(Photo from JedReport.com) Another integral part of the "rational online community" in America is a gentleman by the name of Jed Lewsion. Here's a quick bio from the Huffington Post about Jed: Jed Lewison covers politics and edits video for The Huffington Post. He's based in Las Vegas, NV, and was previously communications director for U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell and director of online marketing for RealNetworks. As you can see on "The Outstanding" site roll (on the right side of the page) that one of the links is "The JedReport," Lewison's site where he basically has all the major videos of the day, and in particular, the Presidential race for this year. This guy is unbelievable, and I'm trying to figure out how the hell he gets all these videos so fast? In fact, here's more about him, and his site . Maybe that will help me with answer (or an interview with him) : Although The Jed Report is relatively new, I've been active online ...

10/17/08- TWD's Agenda For The Day, Part 2: They Are Even Throwing Their Own Weapon Under The Bus

Part two of today's agenda is thanks to four sources, and they stem from this order: Vyan at the Kos TP's Faiz Shakir ABC News CBS News They are all about the shame that has come to not only "Joe the Plumber", but also, and more sadly, to the McCain-Palin campaign for once again, showing why they are the worst ticket to ever run for office. The Think Progress and network links wouldn't have been possible without Vyan's effort. Via Thinkprogress. Last night, Sarah Palin said she didn’t want to talk about Wurzelbacher. "I begged our speechwriters, ‘Don’t make me say Joe the Plumber, please, in any speeches," she said. After failing to properly vet Wurzelbacher’s situation, the McCain campaign is apparently now throwing him overboard and moving on. As Vyan said, maybe Palin feels that way because of what Joe said yesterday after Obama educated him on Wednesday about his tax plan again. So today, Joe, who said he makes much less than $250,000, reluctant...
