Taking it back a decade once again, it's Timbaland, Nelly, and producing an assist from Missy for the forgotten but still respected Ms. Jade and her underrated hit "Ching Ching."

Sigh, it's true : R&B singer Brandy recently launched her new career as a rapper on Timbaland’s new album Shock Value 2. Brandy created the new rap alias Bran’ Nu and rhymes under the alias on the track “Meet in The Middle,” which is taken from Timbaland’s album, which hit stores Tuesday (December 8). It gets better Timbaland tapped Brandy for her rhyming ability after he saw a video of the singer rhyming on YouTube. “What I’m doing on the album is a little bit different than what everybody knows me for. It was a great experience. I got a chance to be another part of myself,” Brandy said in published reports. Here's the track for you to laugh at (shape that a good beat is put to waste): If you would ask about 5 years ago, who would be more likely to rap between Monica or Brandy, I would have certainly thought the former than the latter. But with how urban music is nowadays, I should have been clearly open to both choices.

A lot of new releases today. Chris Brown's "Graffiti" is the notable one, and it will be interesting to see if he can top Rihanna's "so-so" first week sales (it looks to be the case, since they have the whole hash tag on it for Twitter). Randomly, out of nowhere, R. Kelly has an album being released today that I knew not a single deal about. On the rap front, three big releases today. As mentioned earlier in The Rise "n" Shine Thread , The Clipse are releasing their 4th album "Til The Casket Drops", while Snopp Dogg is going live on UStream all day today with the release of his latest album "Malice in Wonderland." And the re-incarcerated Gucci Mane has his highly anticipated (not for me, but for most I guess) album "The State vs Radric Davis." Timbaland is releasing "Shock Value II" as well today, through I have no idea why he is releasing that album after its first installment was poor and virtually neglect...

New Videos as Always First, it is new stuff from Musiq feat Mary J.Blige, titled "If U Leave." Nice, ok, decent. That's what I will label this video. Next, it's another "I don't know if I want to Rihanna, or Beyonce', or whoever effort from the beautiful but limited Keri Hilson, as Timbaland tries to give help her again. Hell, this even sounds a little like Craig David's "What's your favor?" Finally, Kanye's new song "Robocop" got the leak. And it is worse than the butally bad "Love Lockdown." kanye...kanye...kanye... let 3000 be 3000 and you be you homey......damn Not very good signs at all for this album.
