This Is The Big Deal Vice President Biden

Image
Vice President Biden, yesterday : US Vice President Joe Biden has offered the Obama administration's strongest defence of Israel's Gaza flotilla raid to date, in a interview on US television this evening, saying: "Israel has an absolute right to deal with its security interest." Appearing on PBS's Charlie Rose Show, Biden defended Israel's action in boarding the Gaza flotilla as "legitimate". After suggesting the flotilla's cargo of aid could have been unloaded elsewhere, Biden appears to brush off the international criticism, asking: " So what's the big deal here? What's the big deal of insisting it go straight to Gaza?" Well Vice President Biden, this is the big deal : A U.S. citizen of Turkish origin was among the nine people killed when Israeli commandos attacked a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, Anatolia news agency reported Thursday. And furthering how this is a "big f----- deal" in itself sadly: An officia...

Sigh : Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been privately asking foreign leaders to "dial down" criticism of Israel until all the facts of the flotilla attack are known, according to a source who personally discussed the matter with her. "She says she's been working the phones for last 24 hours trying to get people to cool off a little bit, to see what the facts are," the source tells me, adding that she said she was trying to "dial down some of the rhetoric of the inernational community." "It's difficult," the source adds. "She says people are furious." Covering up for them again I see. It not surprisingly though, especially when you see Anthony Weiner do his same usual "love for Israel forever" dance , no matter what stuff the IDF and the Netanyahu Administration does. We'll only hold accountable anyone who is not named Israel, that is the top policy model for the State Department to follow. I sure...

The Read International For 5/31/10: State Department Declines To Criticize Israel, While Everyone Else Does

So despite almost everyone else criticizing Israel , the State Department of this nation declines to do just as so . The State Department says its supports "expanding the flow of goods to the people of Gaza." But it adds that it must be done "in a spirit of cooperation, not confrontation." Officials are reacting to today's Israeli commando raid on a flotilla of ships carrying aid and hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists to the blockaded Gaza Strip. Nine passengers were killed, provoking international outrage and a diplomatic crisis. President Barack Obama is voicing "deep regret" over the incident. The White House says he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed by phone to hold White House talks orignally set for tomorrow "at the first opportunity." Meanwhile, here is video from Al Jazeera contradicting the one released today from the IDF . I really do believe that if this was Iran attacking some activists from Israel, the re...

The Real International For 5/31/10: A Bloody Massacre

Image
On a day here in America where we expected to have a memorial for those that served our nation, today over in the Middle East (and a few other places around the world), there are unexpected memorials for those in pain or have lost their lives abroad the Freedom Flotilla. As most of you have probably heard, nine people were killed by Israel commandoes on board that ship, as they were traveling to the Gaza strip to provide humanitarian aid in the human rights mess over there. And as Jamal Dajani reports , these people certainly did not have the label of "violent extremists" that some have labeled over in Israel. Now the "we said-they said" factor of blame has been in full effect since this has happened, as most including Israel's ally India , along with the usual figures of Palestine President Abbas, Hamas (which governs the Gaza Strip), and Turkey (where most of the passengers were from) have condemn the Zion nation, while the Netanyahu government have cla...
