Anyone with any barring of facts, common sense and general rationality knows how unhinged the usage of that phrase is. It speaks more to how unstable those people are and how that phrase surely needs a proper example to represent it accurately. That example has arrived in emphatic and unfortunate fashion with the latest American racial horror show in Ferguson, Missouri, thanks to its mayor exhibiting traits that would make Waldo look visible and a police chief whose behavior gives Clancy Wiggum of The Simpsons a sense of competence. Missouri voters resoundingly ensured Tuesday evening that they would not be subjected to warrantless seizures and searches of their electronic devices by their state authorities, based on a primary ballot amendment inspired by the actions of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.  Seventy-five percent of  voters  (almost 729,000 people) in the Show Me State chose “Yes” to add Amendment 9  to Missouri’s Constitution, with only 25% casting for the other way. Amendment 9’s passing, which would ensure cell phones, laptops, tablets, and other electronic devices receive the same Fourth Amendment protections granted to people, their homes, and their other personal belongings, had gain steady bipartisan momentum in the state for months. Of the mini dynamics of blacks winning last night at the 2014 Academy Awards was the always intriguing usage of the phrase "African-American" and how its life span should be in grave condition. Last night, some white controlled media organizations forgot to do their simple two second research and see that Steve McQueen is not an American (thankfully that wasn't the case with Lupita Nyongo from what I have seen). Glad to see Jelani Cobb and Imani Perry push back on Hayes last night, and just the overall limits to how private elites can't solve public problems in America by just showing their desire to. As if our timing in life couldn't get any worse, now we have networks desperate for ratings thinking it is a good idea to interview Trayvon Martin's murderer. I mean, my goodness gracious, who thought that was a shrewd decision? Who thought this was a beacon of firm sagacity? Who thought this was just a swell move to win the night for ratings  (CNN) or receive vital attention for a fledging station  (Univision/ABC's Fusion) that badly needs it? Maria Cantwell showed no signs of wavering from ordering Daniel Snyder and Roger Goodell to get rid of the Redskins' name in a really great talk with her former "employee" Ari Melber and the rest of The Cycle today. Cantwell is the first Congressional figure to possibly force the NFL to get rid of the name or face the consequence of losing its absurd tax-exempt status. It really was a great talk with the Washington senator, who has served on the Indian Affairs Committee for years, talked with great strength against a powerful enemy like the NFL. Cantwell and Oklahoma Republican Rep. Tom Cole wrote a terrific letter that was inspired after Goodell went full steam ahead at the Super Bowl with how Synder and the league will keep the name. It really was quite wonderful, and refreshing to see. Hope this leads to both the name being gone and the NFL losing their tax exempt status for good. More to come in this thread, in a bit. As always, yesterday's CBO Obamacare job/budget report is the latest lack of critical reading comprehension skills of embarrassment proportions affecting conservatives and anyone who just wants to slam any Democratic thing in a heartbeat. Non-liberals, whether it was conservatives or the centrist liberal loathing Beltway media, lapped it up over writing quick headlines of "CBO projects Obamacare to cost 2 million jobs" and ran away deep into the night of the latest Sean Insanity Hannity comedy episode. They have done it before and will do it again, as they always do. Thankfully, there are more opportunities to clown them since they fail to read things all the way through. It's a real shame though, because in real life the nutcases and their base will believe another untrue thing and added to their straight jacket insane legacy.
