It was a hard decision to make , but I was swayed into choosing Danny Glover over Alan Grayson and Bernie Sanders as the inaugural winner for the Rationalist of the Week Award. While these esteemed public officials show why they are amongst the few political figures you can trust in Washington, that is what these gentlemen are suppose to do. And it's behavior that you expect from the likes of Sanders and Grayson. However, what Danny Glover has done for the American worker just has not received the attention it has deserved. Glover's altruism at fighting Hugh Boss for potentially outsourcing their jobs away from Cleveland to Eastern Europe is a testament of a celebrity using his fame for good when he surely didn't have to. Let's hope Glover's fight, along with the SEIU, for those Cleveland workers given a letter of losing their jobs in April by Hugo Boss is successful. It is a stance that needed to be taken.
