Sunday will be the 25th anniversary of the Teddy Riley produced "Right Here" for SWV, and the debut single for the classic early 90s R&B group. Now though the remix, sampling Michael Jackson timeless "Human Nature" hit produced by Quincy Jones, was the better song and had much bigger success, this was the introduction of SWV to the world. The rest is history. So, you're second Flashback Friday selection, it's the 25th anniversary of SWV's "Right Here." This is The Whole Delivery. 

In the midst of their rise, "Anything" from SWV followed the smashing success that was the Teddy Riley produced "Right Here" remix and "Weak", which topped the charts overall. One of the best songs ever made, the "Human Nature" heavily influenced sample of SWV'S "Right Here." Still genius how both Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson orchestrated that beat. Even more insane is how a 19-year-old Pharell Williams does the "S...The double...The U...The V!" chant in the song. More from The Whole Delivery coming today, later on. 

In 1992, Sisters With Voices (SWV) graced the R&B world with their soulful voices on their debut album "It's About Time." That double-platinum album featured several hits, including tonight's Sunday Soulful selection, "Weak." The group, after many years hiatus with failed or never developed solo efforts, is coming back next year with an album. Hopefully they can produce quality tracks next year like this classic from 17 years ago. Amazing how time files. Once again, here's SWV, with "Weak." Your Sunday soulful selection.
