One Year Ago: The Final And Decisive Point Of Last Year's Election

Shame that it finally took this to make sure Obama's win would be certain, when it should have been decided way back in June. But hey, it sure is memorable though for how great it was a year ago. After Lehman falls, here is what McCain regrets to this day. And it lead to this punishing ad: And now, you can see President McCain on your Sunday morning TV sets almost every single week.

12/2/08-TWD's Agenda For The Day: Martin And Chambliss Battle In Reelection For Crucial Georgia Senate Seat

Image
(Jim Martin photo from Erik S. Lesser for The New York Times;Saxby Chambliss photo from senate.gov) In Election 2008's version of overtime (and playoffs, something that the corrupt bigwigs in college football don't want any part of ), it is "Do or Die" with the Georgia Senate seat race between classless incumbent Saxby Chambliss and his Democratic challenger, Jim Martin. As noted yesterday by everyone, Mike Wooten life ruiner Sarah Palin stumped for Chambliss yesterday, repeating almost what she said for John McCain: Yet despite Palin’s insistence on the importance of the Chambliss race, she apparently couldn’t bring herself to write a new stump speech. Instead, she recycled many of her favorite lines from this fall, substituting Chambliss’ name for Sen. John McCain’s: Palin On Washington: On CHAMBLISS: Too many politicians forgetting why they were sent to Washington. Well, Saxby has not forgotten and he has not forgotten who it is that he is serving. He is serving y...

"The 50" State Predictions: The Key Senate Races to Watch

Image
Photo from The Daily Kos, and click this link to get those online results First, the big Senate races that have not been covered. Remember, the Democrats will have a magical filibuster proof in the Senate if they reach 60 seats and Barack Obama becomes President of this country : 1)In New Hampshire, expect Jeanne Shaheen to defeat John Sununu in comfortable fashion. 2)In Maine, Susan Collins may prove to even be too much for Tom Allen, but anything can happen there. That will be a nail biter. 3)The same will be said in Georgia tonight, where I predict Jim Martin will get the big upset win over Saxby Chambliss and make Markos Moulitsas jump even higher than he already will tonight. Martin has come out of nowhere to make this one of the must see races tonight. 4)No surprise in North Carolina. Elizabeth Dole basically gave Kay Hagan the election last week after that now forever notorious "Shameless" ad. 5)But if you thought the Republican Party was sad to see one of its celebrit...

Perino Says Bush Thinks Mccain Has The Right Ideas

First Cheney, now here comes Parquet Perino shooting McCain in the foot again ( and maybe doing it on purpose ). “President Bush remains hopeful that John McCain will pull it out tomorrow night and win the election.” Perino added that Bush thinks McCain and other Republicans “have the right ideas when it comes to the economy and national security.” Watch it: They have to be literally doing this on purpose, angry at how McCain has thrown them under the bus even more so in the last few weeks. Because they can't be this stupid. They just can't be. Oh wait, I am talking about this Administration though. Which means they are as slick and cunning, as they are stupid.

Oops, McCain Almost Calls Joe the Plumber, "Joe the Bomber"

Another great catch from the great people at Think Progress. This time, from Ben Armbuster : During an interview with a local Norfolk, VA ABC affiliate last week, John McCain was asked why he was not beating Barack Obama in the state, considering Virginia has voted for a Republican president in every election since 1964. McCain replied that he is doing better in more recent polling and nearly cited “Joe the Bomber” as the reason. He quickly corrected himself, saying “[U]h — Joe the Plumber”: He would have been better off calling him Joe the Jerk for not only standing him up last week in Defiance, Ohio (what an ironic title for a city and what happened there that day)............. .....But for then claiming Barack Obama is unloyal to America. Joe the Shame. That's more like it for me.

11/3/08-TWD's Agenda For the NEXT TWO DAYS: Election Overload, Overload, Overload

First, watch this video, and it shows the importance of voting. Second, if you didn't hear it yet, Sarah Palin gets embarrassingly prank. It is indeed another example of how poor the McCain-Palin campaign has been: A Canadian comedy duo called The Masked Avengers from CKOI 96.9 FM in Montreal, Quebec pranked Sarah Palin , convincing her (and her team) they were receiving a call from French President Nicolas Sarkozy. In the interview, which lasts about six minutes, Palin and the pranksters discuss politics, pundits, and the dangers of hunting with current vice-president Dick Cheney. Oh my goodness. Polls Final Gallup poll: Obama 53%, McCain 42% Final Quinnipac poll for Florida: Obama 47%, MCcain 45% Final Quinnipac poll for Ohio: Obama 50%, McCain 43% Final Quinnipac poll for Pennsylvania: Obama 52%, McCain 42% Via Mr.Moulitsas , this ridiculous news about late ballots possibly delaying the result in Arizona, and how those ballots could lead to Arizona not being decided on November ...
