Claps to you Tom Coburn, claps to you . -- Told a woman she was wrong for saying people could be put in prison for not signing up for health care insurance. Essentially, Coburn was telling people they shouldn't be repeating things that simply aren't true just because they are good sound bites from the right wing. -- Said of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, "I'm 180 degrees in opposition to the speaker -- she's a nice lady. Come on now, she is a nice -- how many of you all have met her?... Just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't mean they're not a good person." -- Told people to "stay informed on the issues" and not "just watch Fox News or CNN -- watch 'em both." Even if he is fundamentally wrong (and he wouldn't mention MSNBC there), at least you certainly have some heart for all to see, and are willing to stand call the channel that owns your party out in some fashion unlike the rest of your colleagues.

First, Senator nutcase Tom Coburn provides a moment so appalling, that it just had to be seen. And remember, for those who don't know, Coburn has a background as a doctor. Real scary, isn't it?

( SOP for those who don't know stands for Sad Obnoxious Party ) Now a lot of people have used Ricky Ricardo and that famous phrase plenty of times. Even cartoons targeted for kids have used it (I think an episode of Rocko's Modern Life used it, but I maybe wrong). So from the basis, it wasn't too offensive. However, it was just another poor effort at being funny from an out of touch Senator in Coburn. He made some people laugh though since it came out of nowhere and was both bizarre and random. But to use that one in front of a Puerto Rican American who is about to become the next judge on the Supreme Court is well, not smart at all.
