Once again, for another powerful corporate media listical, black people barely exist in the "post-racial world." Forbes' Jeff Bercovici had its 2014 version of "30 under 30 in media", and only one black person made the list out of the 34 (since co-founders added meant more than 30 people). Uzoamaka Maduka gets that nod but, outside of one article on Salon , is not well known like many others on that list, as well as her  American Reader website  barely making a major blip in online and (definitely) black online news circles. The judges for this list were Arianna Huffington, Vice Media co-founder Shane Smith and ABC News president Ben Sherwood. I have never even heard of Maduka before, and it seemed that Bercovici or those judges just looked in his (or their) elite rolodex list and found the only black person he (or they) knew and picked Maduka. The day after a forgettable election night, President Obama indicated in his press conference that he is still opened to close talks with Republicans. "We must find common ground, I am very eager to sit down with members of both parties." But despite most of the White House press corps asking the same question on whether his policies and not the economy caused the massive loss of Democratic power, highlighted by the House going away, Obama firmly rejected that notion. It was the usual centrist speech that was expected after a rough day, as guaranteed gridlock in already dysfunctional Washington D.C. comes. In this author's perspective however, the highlight for the press conference wasn't even Obama's answers or demeanors, but another indication of how awful the press is for this nation. The peculiar narrative of Obama (and Democrats) not willingly to negotiate with Republicans (when they have), has continued to aggrandized to the dismay of sanity. And...

It was only a matter of time it appears, but over the last few days, it seems some media outlets are becoming British Petroleum's 2nd Public Relations Group. Yesterday on CNN, both Rick Sanchez and Anderson " BOTH SIDES DO IT " Cooper asked one of the all time most incompetent and egregious questions ever on American news television, saying to their viewers "Where is all the oil?" In fact, Sanchez went on to have the audacity to inquire, "Why is the left and traditional media outlets asking that question?" But wait, just when you think that maybe limited to just that "neutral" network's occasional addiction to "neutral do nothing" journalism, this whole memo of inquiring about the location of all that now invisible oil (and even questioning whether the amount of oil dumped into the gulf of BP was actually as much as some people estimated like Cooper did last night) was not just limited to those two. Joan McCarter was the one brave enough to write about the Washington Toast's stupidity today, and Mr. Moulitsas also summed it up nicely in his tweet . But just to talk about it, it weird considering The Post gives a platform to The Root to exist. Now I think this was more of a painful mistake that we can all laugh at, a moment of awful indolence by the editor of the web version. But I know for sure (as you should too, the reader) that The Shrub W. would not have a headline about him juxtaposed under a picture of say, Richard Nixon or Herbert Hoover. Hardwood was tolerable for me until he showed fully how much of an idiot he truly is : Hardwood's arrogance and stupidity are in full display. "Idiotic" are liberals who disagree with the Senate bill, and "they should be thankful" to Harry Reid he says. Yet, he admits to himself "This isn't a good bill." Even more hilarious is this: Beck, however, does not give a new interview for the piece. Hey, it is the same magazine that said that "I was the Person of The Year" in 2006, so, it must have some credibility still.

Sometimes these people in the media have the worse amnesia problem ever And it's embarrassing as a fledgling journalist to witness this. Now, if they wanted to clearly state that the people of America may have their "honeymoon" be over with Obama, then maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'll cut them some slack. Sadly though, that would be one giant step for our media. Remember, as humans, we have to learn how to crawl before we walk.

After people all throughout, especially on Twitter, criticized CNN'S lack of an urgent response to what's going down in Iran, take a look at what their supposed "media critic" Howard Krutz said in response: A loser response from a loser indeed. And I don't care if i did call him a loser. He is one, and unless he changes his ways, will forever be.

The state of Texas has plenty of politicians that really makes you wonder how rational people in that state live with the crazies. We all know about Governor Rick "Secessionist" Party, who today literally said "God bless Rush Limbaugh." But get to know House Congressman Lamar Smith, and his comments today: Yes, Congressman Smith is leading the way for a "Media fairness Caucus" in the house of Representatives because.........shhhhhhhhhhhh, the media is liberal, the media is unfair because the're liberal!
