Mr. Truck Cosmo Guy Thinks The EPA Is A Non-Government Agency

Image
I guess he didn't talk this one over with his truck : Though he’s considered a potential swing vote on future clean energy legislation and was facing pressure to help block the action, Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) voted in favor of Murkowski’s resolution. In a Cape Cod Times op-ed yesterday, Brown defended his position by claiming that “this action would give an unelected and unaccountable government agency the power to impose restrictive and damaging carbon dioxide regulations that will drive up energy prices and hurt job-creating small businesses in our country.” Brown took a different position, however, on a local right-wing radio show, claiming that “a non-governmental agency” would be empowered: CARR: They’ve been, they’ve been advertising, as you probably know, all over the radio and TV, you know, demanding, the liberals, the moonbats, that you vote for this thing. How do you explain your vote against it? BROWN: Well, I’m looking out for jobs and jobs in Massachusetts and...

He's Going To Get Teabagged Soon

I love how they are already really upset with Scott Brown . Maybe he should have just sent his truck instead.....or his daughter Ayla. Either way, he maybe is on the road to getting primaried soon!

The Rise "n" Shine Thread For 3/31/10: The Simplest Message Ever To The Stupid.........For The Umpteenth And Final Time!

Image
It takes a really special stupid and/or mendacious person to basically make Rachel Maddow very very upset on her television show (or anyone else for that matter). Scott Brown is that special individual. And the story that we all know now has actually continued because Scott Brown is a very stupid man who struggles to be forthright and respectful. And you know why he struggles to be forthright and respectful? Oh, it's a hypothetical one from almost all of you who read this. Because he thinks his lies won't lead to him getting the accountability he knows he would receive if he thought someone would relentlessly call him the word that he is. Well, for the final time hopefully, Rachel Maddow won't have to be harassed and made a money banking prop for such a stupid individual. Hopefully Brown got this message, because it was the greatest multiple usage of the word "liar" ever on national cable news TV history (and maybe in general). 7 minutes of appropria...

Brown Among Five GOP Senators To Push Jobs Bill To Final Vote, Ben Nelson Votes "No"

Image
Along with the Maine duo of Collins & Snowe, Ohio's Voinovich, and one Kit Bond, Scott Brown has voted on cloture for Harry Reid's job bills to move it to a final vote. Those five Republicans offset Ben Nelson, who decided to be bipartisan the other way as usual by voting with the rest of Republicans against bringing it to the floor. The final cloture vote was 62-30, and we shall see if this will be the final result overall. David Dayen has some good tidbits on how some Republicans once again voted against a bill where some of their suggestions/provisions were actually placed in the bill. Some fun facts while we wait for the final tally: Orrin Hatch co-authored the centerpiece of this micro-bill, the job creation tax credit. He voted against bringing it to the floor. Chuck Grassley co-authored all the pieces in the bill and has expressed in particular support for the provision allowing small businesses to write off capital expenditures. He voted against cloture. The Final Poll: Massachusetts Special Election For Senate Seat

Image
It is looking bleak for Coakley right now, as she is not performing strong enough in the places where Brown is overperforming. Early numbers seem to indicate that Brown could win this by possibly 5 percentage points. Update 1 : 60% of the vote in....52.8% to 46.2%, looking ugly for Coakley right now. Update 2 : 65% of the vote in....Brown still up by 7. As Howard Dean said on air, if Boston has already been tallied, then it is over. But if it isn't, this will go down to the wire. Update 3 : Chris Cizilla of the Washington Post is reporting that Coakley has called to concede to Brown. Update 4 : It is over.....Scott Brown can bring his Truck in to DC. He is the Senate in Massachusetts. Update 5 : It is over ......Senator truck nude man is in the Senate. And his press conference was something to behold.

Conflicting Democratic Perspective On Health Reform Passage If Coakley Lose

The health of the health reform bill if Coakley losses tonight has produced a few strong feelings from prominent or renowned Democrats on the fate of health care. To my mind, only Anthony Weiner has been the one to declare the bill's chances of passage "maybe dead" if the Massachusetts Attorney General losses. Everyone else however, from Nancy Pelosi to Alan Grayson, has said that health reform will still pass regardless of tonight's result. Now what type of health reform bill, or model of health reform bill, will pass is a whole different ball game. Weiner said that he would have a hard time passing the Senate bill as the final bill overall. And if he says that, than there is a justified belief that House progressive/liberal figures won't help the push for 218 for a much maligned bill (despite always the tendency of them founding to the pressure of the times). That belief is further raised if the antiturst exemption and national exchanges aren't given...

They Really Are The Same Person

First, the idiot that is Sally Quinn, on "Cosmo Nude" potential Senator . "Scott Brown is 'a hunk" and "posing semi-nude helped him." And she also added "He's really cute." But you thought her vapidness was world class, she is not to be outdone by Reagan's favorite lover outside of his wife. Get a load to this extraordinary moment on the "diverse panel" that was Mo(u)rning Jo(k)e this morning. Peggey Noonan tells us how Brown truly does "look American." Elitist, brain dead, and attention whores. They really are the same person, aren't they?

Obama To Stump For Coakley On Sunday

Image
To give her a final push that should have never been (and yes, that is a link to Politico, Martin broke the story): President Obama will campaign for Massachusetts Senate candidate Martha Coakley on Sunday, POLITICO has learned, a sign that Democrats are deeply worried about her prospects and the party’s 60-seat majority. And yes, it will be in Boston on Sunday after him and the first lady go to church.
