Just when Fabio Capelllo thought things were getting back to normal : England and Chelsea defender John Terry has been taken to hospital for a scan on his right foot - less than a month before the start of the World Cup. Terry suffered the injury in training for Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley against Portsmouth, where he is expected to captain the side. The club website said he left the training ground "walking freely in a protective boot." Chelsea expected to receive the results of a scan on the injury on Thursday.

In a stunner of a story, Wayne Bridge has quit the England National Team thanks to the situation with John Terry. Bridge has pulled his name for the important upcoming friendly on the FIFA international date against Egypt as well as anything else in the future, including the World Cup. The personal issues aside, with Ashley Cole out until at least late April (and that being ambitious), Bridge' decision to not play for England because of Terry puts Fabio Capello in a bind at left back. Everton's Leighton Baines is the now the first choice for the country in that position. And though his quality is improving with every single day, he is susceptible still to give up crosses and pushing up to he field too far at times. It is being reported by Sky Sports that Fabio Capello has decided to drop John Terry from the captaincy of the England football (soccer) team in midst of the allegations of the Chelsea centerback messing with the now ex-girlfriend of former club teammate (and former friend) Wayne Bridge. Didn't expect that to happen, as I thought Capello was going to let him keep his position. But maybe Terry's continued arrogance in saying that he would not resign from his captaincy lead to Capello making the decision.
