She can truly go all the way on this one for me, Ms. Tatiz. And the Birther journalism of the year is former CNN employee Louie Dobbs. Already known for his negative immigrant sentiments, Dobbs went so far off the bin this year that even CNN had enough. Now this man had plenty of other looney moments that have been thankfully forgotten about by most. From calling a pro health care reform song from Atlanta school kids propaganda to demanding that black people in Chicago (and throughout) stop complaining about the problems in their communities , Dobbs had an all time year in Straight Jacket Award. The comedy will be great to see, even though I highly doubt this will happen : Former CNN anchor Lou Dobbs has never been elected to any government office, but he said Monday he’s considering a run for the White House in 2012. During an interview on WTOP radio in Washington, Dobbs fueled rumors he’s seeking a bid for public office, possibly the highest office in the land, when asked if speculation about an Oval Office bid is “crazy talk.” “What’s so crazy about that?” Dobbs, 64, replied. “Golly!” He will surly excite the Hispanic base if he runs, that's for sure. But in the long run, I think he realizes deep inside how at campaign will become part of the comedy Hall of Fame if he does become more engrossed in his Presidential hopes. Then again, with how crazy he has become over the last few years, the thoughts of him actually believing he has a voting block and independent cred is possible.

And you thought his interview last night when O'Lielly questioned him if he though Obama was the devil would be the end for him. Nope. Mr. $8 million golden parachute (thanks to those legal contracts and all, I would hope, HOPE I say) is now on NBC this morning. And man, did his current media tour heaping no praise on another famously irrelevant person : It sure is great when irrelevant people talk about irrelevant people.

And now, Greg Sargent asks this important question: When right wing bloggers got Dan Rather fired from CBS, traditional news orgs widely hailed the role of right blogostan in exposing the shortcomings of Rather’s story on Bush and the National Guard and gave the right full credit for bringing him down. Now that Lou Dobbs — also a major media figure — has quit CNN, it remains to be seen whether the online left will get anywhere near the same level of credit. Now Rather was much more important than the racist Dobbs, but all the right-wing sites were patted on the back for their accomplishment of ousting Rather for his National Guard report on Bush being not so good. But now, will the same love, as well as Hispanic groups, get the same approbation in return? I don't think the "liberal media" will rush to give credit to those who show ...

Now he can host a show in Mexico since Fox doesn't want him apparently Lou Dobbs, the longtime CNN anchor whose anti-immigration views made him a TV lightning rod, plans to announce Wednesday that he is leaving the network, two network employees said. A CNN executive confirmed that Mr. Dobbs will announce his plans on his 7 p.m. program. Mr. Dobbs informed his staff members of his intentions in a meeting Wednesday afternoon. He did not immediately respond to a telephone call seeking comment. Now he can truly do his life long work........"Border and birther Journalism." And here's the emotional footage and all:

I know this is very very hard to believe, but IT IS TRUE. Remember this wonderful video from earlier today: Well, Dobbs not only had a problem with the song (he called it indoctrination, which is the hot word to use nowadays), but he also had a problem WITH HIS OWN network that stood through his "birther journalism" craze. The Olbermann/GE/NY Times/NewsCrop drama that has gotten Glenn Greenwald involved, invited a comment from Jane Hamsher, and has been talked about by a few others has taken attention away from a potentially even bigger story of media criticism: CNN trying to prevent other cable networks from airing Media Matters rational and sane attack on "Birther Journalism Advocate of the Year" Lou Dobbs. In a story that reaks of TV corruption of the highest order at least congruent to General Electric motives (well, at a few of their higher ups if not all), Time Warner has grown on a crusade to make sure that the ad not only never sees the light of day on their channel, but their supposed main rivals . Unbelievable. I’m told by a CNN source that the network privately pressed cable operators not to run the Media Matters ad attacking Dobbs, which pilloried his footsie with the birthers as CNN’s “Lou Dobbs problem.” Media Matters had previously booked a week’s worth of ad time on MSNBC, Fo...

This ad You won't be seeing on CNN now, as Sam Stein reports A television advertisement attacking CNN host Lou Dobbs for promoting the "birther" conspiracy theory will not be airing during Dobbs's show -- or on CNN at all -- on most of the cable systems that the group behind the ad had intended. On Monday, the progressive media watchdog group Media Matters put out an ad attacking Dobbs for continuing to report the doubts about President Obama's birth certificates as if it they were grounded in reality. The spot was slated to run on the three major cable news stations -- Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN -- in three major media markets -- New York, Atlanta and Washington D.C. Typical. This would have never gone down with the CNN under Ted Turner. The old good CNN. Journalism takes another hit in the stomach.

Lou Dobbs is experiencing that right now. This idiot still is going crazy over Obama's birth certificate. And for that, well, he is made a fool on his own show. Well, sort of . Just can't make this up people. You just can't.
