Last night on MSNBC's Countdown, Richard Wolfe, one of the more benevolent, restrained men in broadcast/print journalism, almost couldn't hold back his usual placid demeanor over the latest mental incompetence of Sarah Palin yesterday. During her "policy making" speech for special needs children that had no detailed policy of any sort, Palin made fun of those "earmarks" about "Research on fruit flies in Paris." Only her understanding of that specific earmark was about as low as her knowledge of what the V.P actually does. Correction, it is lower. Watch. Wolfe is tired of the championing of ignorance from not only this woman, but the Republican Party itself. And the fact that this is one of two major parties in America revelling in making fun of important programs such as this is scary. I'll just say it: The dummy is so damn embarrassing for this nation.
