Yes, Mary Carillo is awesome. And those people who are anti-Carillo just because she said real, critical things about Serena need to get mature.

Music Wakeup Call For 7/25/12: Deemi- Soundtrack of my Life (2007)

Image
Returning with one of the most underrated songs in the last half-decade, with an artist that went through seeing domestic abuse placed on her mother, her children's father, dropped out of high school, sold crack for her children's father while getting abused by him. And after turning it around, now is going through the BS of music labels trying to deny her telling her story instead of the cliche' crappy love songs. Deemi is one of the realest people in music and in general.

TWD Sports Saturday Thread #1 For 6/8/12: 2012 French Open Women's Final Coverage (Errani/Sharapova)

Photo from FFT/RolandGarros.com  The Preview  History will be made Saturday in a classic David vs Goliath showdown in the 2012 French Open women's final. For Maria Sharapova, the Goliath in this matchup, she is considered a sure bet by almost everyone to capture a career Grand Slam and her first major title after the long journey of her overcoming shoulder surgery.  Despite all the conversations of "Cow on Ice" and just never looking like someone who could win on clay in most people's perspective, the dirt has represented the character and game of Sharapova's the most of any other court creation throughout her career. Her first Grand Slam quarterfinal came in Paris, and her resilience matches one of several necessary characteristics of winning on this surface: survive.  ...

The Whole Delivery's Future

Image
Between being apart of the news website "The Raw Story" since August and just not having the overall time and opportunity to consistently update it as I once did, the future of The Whole Delivery is certainly in the balance. Again, I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for those who have read this blog/news site since its inception in 2008. I really have tried to give this site its own panache with the variety of genres covered when it was fully active. But as of recent times, it has been rendered to a music nostalgia blog with "The Flashback Friday" series being the only constant post. Truthfully, I have no idea what this site's future will be, if I'm able to take it to higher heights. But if this represents one of the last posts for the blog, I pay full umbrage to you all who made this blog go as far as it did. To all readers, no matter who you are, religious or atheist, God Bless to you all. Sincerely, Andrew Jones The Whole Delivery...

TWD's Sports Thread For 1/25/12: The 2012 Australian Open, Women Semifinal

The Tactics For Azarenka 1) Hit Your Serve As Hard as possible, and establish the rhythm. 2) Mid court precision and close out the point. 3) Try everything, turn around the point, and just weather the storm For Clijsters 1) Stay ruthless. 2) You are the big hitter and turn around the points. 3) This is your final Aussie Open, continue to have that spirit. Prediction: With her being over her ankle, I just see Clijsters destined to this title. Azarenka has been terrific, but she just has to hope Clijsters has a horrid day to win this, and I just don't see that. Clijsters: 7-5, 6-4.
