The 2010 FIFA World Cup Thread #1/Sports Thread #1 For 6/19/10: Scathing Shot From Snejider Give Dutch To Win Against Valiant Japan

The Final Analysis of this game that no one is really talking about, besides the Japanese media and my friend Shun:

Why does Takeshi Okada hate Takayuki Morimoto so much? Why does he hate him so much indeed???

Just look at these final stats, and despite the Dutch with the greater possession obviously, look at Japan having more shots and almost as many on goals:
And if you saw the ending of the match, then you would have seen how Okazaki blow a golden chance behind slack defending from the Dutch.

I'm telling you, if Japan does not advance out of its group, it will not be because of its roster, Instead, it will be yet another stubborn coach plaguing this tournament with his idiotic grudges and totally inability to adapt to the changing times.

Your Man of the Match unsurprisingly was Wesley Snejider with his strike, but the managing from Dutch coach Bert van Marmuk was pretty terrible as well. How he continues to start van de Vaart over Elia is beyond me? And he would have deserved most of the blame, along with poor finishing from Affelay, if Okazaki had converted that chance there for Japan.

Likely for him, Holland have had the good consistent fortune in this tournament that other European powers have not had.

The full review to come.
