10/14/09: TWD's Agenda For The Day: So Now She Has Voice?

Olympia Snowe's cabinet should definitely consist of those on the Finance CommitteeJust two weeks ago, Olympia Snowe didn't have the courage to speak when the time came to explain why she didn't want a public option. All she said was her "No" vote and that's it.
Nothing. Not one damn word from her (or Blanche Lincoln for example) about why she was against it.
But we all know why, so let's not get into that. It is just a moment to highlight how no one in the corporate media (surprise) has not uttered one single word about Snowe herself not uttering one single word on the characteristic that will truly bring historic health care reform.
That is, without question, a smack to the face of the people of this nation when President Obama keeps saying "We are one step closer to historic reform." Because it is not.
And the fact that they continue to somehow freely giving an opening to the insurance lobby despite slamming it over the AHIP nonsense yesterday shows how they will be just at fault here at deceiving the American public who want a government option as the "out of touch, chum, chum, status quo Senators" who are beholden to their insurance lobbyists.
Don't play the "tit for tat" game, slamming them on the one hand and then, in the backrooms, giving them so much love and good times and "SORRY's" for saying mean bad things about them.
Screwing the public over, and potentially their own political careers, is something that they gravely risk here.
But hey, everything is all good in the Snowe Administration. Especially when she has powers that even go over, even, executive power.
