This will be at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, where Majority Leader Reid is also testifying." 10 a.m., Dirksen 226, "Prohibiting Price Fixing and Other Anticompetitive Conduct in the Health Insurance Industry."

If its true, that is a potentially BLOCKBUSTER amendment.

Regulation to the immoral insurance industry?

It appears more likely than I thought, and it is ACTUALLY growing.

Will certainly be interesting if the irrelevant SOP say their banal line of "government oppression is at it again" blah. It will be more hypocrisy from the Hypocrite Party in terms of not supporting their own super-capitalism principles by slamming actual fair competition.

Though the public option is still of course what the obvious answer for all parties, you can certainly make a strong argument (in fact, it is THEE argument) that the insuance companies fear regulation EVEN MORE than a government insurance plan.

But hey, shhhhh, don't tell it to the cable networks outside of Schultz, Olbermann, and Maddow though. They'll keep talking about President Snowe and her trigger love!
