The Sleep Time And Rise "n" Shine Thread For 10/1/09: Elijah Cummings Supports Alan Grayson

First, watch how one of the realest House Representatives, Elijah Cummings, handles the clown journalist that is Mika Brezinski and her cries of "one side is getting more bias than the other" schtick.

I am so glad that Elijah Cummings did not buckle down to "Mika Meekness" ridiculous false equivalency to rain on Adam Grayson "EPIC Pass" of a day (and potentially of the year). Though more have stupidity thrown out the Joe Wilson comparison, the Chuck "deather" Grassley one is just as ignoble and ridiculous as the "You Lie" guy's one being somehow equally to Grayson.

Cummings basically did what Republicans love to do, when they won't fully condemn their nutcase fringe all stars' reckless comments and skate right by the issue. Only what Cummings did also stands on the side of truth, and what Grayson did wasn't nutcase.

So I was happy to see that not only Cummings wouldn't come close to chastising Grayson, but that he would support Grayson's main point as well. People are dying, and dying completely because of the Republicans (and corporate beholden Democrats) slow tactics encouraged by the immoral health insurance industry. They offer no real ideas for real change, and that is why they get steamed when someone in Congress calls them out like Grayson has so throughly done.

Brezinski didn't throw a hissy fit like Gloria Berger did today (oh that Gloria and how she really does act like a corporate "out of touch" one like she is), but she of course had the same mindset of being upset and placing her idiotic false equivalency on her audience to the Democrats.

When the truth is said in such a righteous and forceful way about the Republicans, the corporate media gets defensive and ready to double team you with the out of touch obnoxious Republican Party happy to pile on. Thankfully, neither Cummings nor Grayson did that today.

The Miscellaneous
Despite the stupidest title ever for a serious issue, this is worth the read.

Just watch the first 2:30 of this video....Crazy stuff that this kid is going to regret for a long while:

In case you didn't know, Saturn is gone.

This I will talk about tomorrow, but it is basically correct: The music industry needs serious change, and it is amazing, truly amazing, how the big cable channels and broadcast networks miss covering this always big story.

I guess it would end up exposing their corporations and all though.

Talk about an unselfish individual, as this man has donated blood more than 150 times, and he is currently 65.

Stephen Hawking is stepping down from his Lucasian professor role at Cambridge University.

Just one sickening doctor if there ever was.

Some of the few great journalists left in America:

And to close, Tevin as always. Goodnight/Goodmorning, and God Bless.
