The FIFA World Cup Kickaround Thread For 6/16/14: For The Final Match of Day 5

Pre-Game Thoughts: Ghana vs USA 

1) Atsu and Asamoah will badly try to win their match up between Johnson and Jones. 

2) Radiu will try and contain Bradley in the center and be a fine protection for Mensah and Boye. Time for Mensah to play up to the massive potential he showed and not get stretched or out muscled by Altidore. 

3) For Bedoya, he will try and make Andre Ayew have to defend while harassing him, and will be keen to show his quality in the middle of the pitch. 

4) Beckerman must try and be a major torn in Asamoah Gyan side if the US want to be very effective in this match.

Pre-game Thoughts: Germany vs Portugal 

A big risk for Low to play Howedes at left back instead of Drum with Ronaldo (and Nani's pace). Ronaldo will see if he or Boateng will be the weakest of the two to attack throughout why Nani takes the other one.

Gotze and Ozil have to find a way to get through Veloso and Moutinho in midfield without getting caught out. Also Khedira needs to make sure he has the range today, as Schweingsteiger is dropped.

Will Lahm's move to the midfield be a detriment to their ability to get wide play, because Boateng and Howedes have to be so careful.
