Music Thread #1 for 1/29/09: The Return of TWD's Music Thread, Including The Return of Jennifer Hudson

(Photo from RCA) The return of Jennifer Hudson is something that most will cherish
The music thread is back. After a long hiatus, a needed break from politics is needed (for the moment). Because would this site still be The Whole Delivery is it didn't have its music fix. It sure as hell wouldn't.

And what a way to return indeed, with Violetta Wallace sick and tired of Lil Kim's mouth in regards to her continued verbal assault on the movie "Notorious."
Wallace said that before the movie was made, Kim was given a copy of the script and signed off on the use of her likeness in the film.

"She felt the character we chose for her was 'too dark,' " Wallace said. "Do you know why the character was too dark for her? Because she's a white woman trapped in a black woman's body, and you can tell the world I said it, because those are Lil' Kim's words. She should be ashamed of herself."
And she wasn't done:
"Tell Lil' Kim to go find herself, go drink a cup of green tea and get a life!" Wallace went on. "This movie is not about Lil' Kim. She felt we used her character to promote [but] this movie is about my son. ... Lil' Kim needs to go sit down."
Expect the verbal smacks between these two to continue.

Great news indeed about Jennifer Hudson. She looks to be back:
Jennifer Hudson's label has released photos from her forthcoming video for the single "If It Isn't Love," from her recent self-titled LP. The clip is set to premiere the week of February 9.
As always, The Whole Delivery (and every sane person) is cheering for her. Especially when she reappears in public for the Super Bowl. It will certainly be an emotional setting.

It's getting worse and worse with this guy with every passing day. If you are a praying person, keep him in your hearts for sure.

Another Diddy group goes by the waste. And what, you were surprised?
After Dawn Richard broke the news to us on Wednesday that as of now, Danity Kane are no longer a group, fans hit up MTVNews.com expressing all sorts of outrage and sadness over the breakup.
People are so gullible. When will they learn that these shows are all about Diddy than the whole group, leading to the eventual collapse. It happen with "Da Band", it's happening now, and it will happen with Dey 26. And yet, we will have more "outrage and sadness."

This is funny
Things got better a few minutes later, as Obama was giving warm hugs to B, Blige and Latifah. Michelle Obama walked up and said, "Mr. President, you didn't tell Beyoncé about 'Single Ladies'? Your rendition?"

The Commander in Cool laughed and said, "I'm not like Justin [Timberlake]; I didn't put on the outfit," referring to JT's now-infamous "Single Ladies" turn in a leotard on "Saturday Night Live." "[But] I didn't want my girls thinking that I couldn't, you know ... I got a little something."

Doing a subtle version of the Beyoncé's hand gesture, the president joked, "this part I got." He then went on to hug Legend, telling him, "John, how's it going? ... You've been so great throughout the campaign. ... I appreciate it."
I can't believe I'm gonna say this, "But thank you Young Jeezy."

Peace.
