But the Washington Post, and maybe more importantly, this wonderful post from LNK at the Kos, does want you to know about this man name Kevin Martin. He is the FCC chairman, he is a Republican, and he is a dirty player. So dirty, that this has been found out about him:
A year-long Congressional investigation of Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin J. Martin found "egregious abuses of power," though it was unclear whether the nation's top telecommunications regulator broke any rules or laws during his leadership. The news, especially the cable channels won't dare to report on this as much as they do Blago Stupido unless Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow show big courage tonight and do so. Because this scandal is just as big. And if you don't think so, just read this. if not the whole post, from LNK:
The report released today on the probe, titled "Deception and Distrust" and led by Reps. John D. Dingell (D-Mich.), Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, found Martin suppressed information and manipulated data to serve his agenda.
"Any of these findings, individually, are cause for concern," said Dingell. "Together, the findings suggest that, in recent years, the FCC has operated in a dysfunctional manner and Commission business has suffered as a result. It is my hope that the new FCC Chairman will find this report instructive and that it will prove useful in helping the Commission avoid making the same mistakes."
Do you ever wonder why your cable TV service costs so much and offers you so little choice?Real talk just gets too real for the airwaves, doesn't it?
Does your local media fail to report local news?
Corporate media never give the public the news we need when it comes to their own self-interest. For example, the limp reporting on today's breaking news about Republican Kevin Martin's egregious abuse of power at the FCC.
