8/20/09: TWD's Agenda For The Day- Matt Taibbi Makes Maria Bartiromo Feel Stupid

This morning, world class shill Maria Bartiromo added to her shill dishonest legacy on Mourning Joke this morning, saying out of nowhere (literally, NOWHERE) that the number of uninsured Americans is only 20 million.

She said that after Taibbi put her arrogant selfish a-hole self in place for her usual disinformation shtick. It's pretty pathetic how low CNBC's money loving personality will hit dirt levels to prevent any information of health care reform being a necessity in this country now (or ever in her mind).

"We don't know if its better health care?" "47 million Americans is a debatable number????"

The level of just elitism meanness here is the fact of an insider who is in the know but yet, parades as a crusader for the status quo like no other.

I sure wish Taibbi told her that one while she was talking her absolute BS this morning. And it speaks as the latest indictment on our embarrassment of a media, when we have someone as mendacious as Bartiromo masquerading as a serious pundit.

I wish Matt or some of the other fine proponents of reform would drill down into the supposed "satisfaction" that most insured Americans have with their current policies.

The fact is that the current employer-based system robs many of us blind. Married professional couples get TWO "free" health insurance policies. That, of course, means that BOTH of them have been compelled by the current system to negotiate away many thousands of dollars per year. In the case of my wife and me, that is about $10,000 EACH per year. All we need is one policy. One of us should be allowed to say, "No thanks. I don't want a second, unnecessary health insurance policy. Give me my $10K as taxable income, please." But we can't. And so, millions of American couples pay about $20K per year for their health coverage. Think about that. Then tell everybody how happy you are with your coverage.

No question about that with what you said there.
